**What’s wrong with you people- you must be content to watch other teams play semis** . Hayne will add class and create more competition for remaining spots. Will add pace and Vision. Benji will likely go up a level. MBye and Thompson will relish playing with him. We don’t have a strong outlook for next season. He is a gamble , sure, but one we have nothing to lose. At the same time , we can work on recruitment of high quality juniors to then ultimately replace him

How many semis has Jarryd played lately?

Is that his fault directly? Tedesco had never played finals football but it didn’t scare off the Roosters..

Are we going to blame Easts winning on Tedesco?

You can make a case, yes. Both the Titans and Parra went backwards after he signed. He’s a destabilising influence, Brings that douchebag American athlete “look at me look at me” attitude.

Titans for sure, but the Eels issues were deeper than Hayne. He was their best player late in the season.

Hayne only lifts when seeking a contract renewal.
He would be disruptive for us. Nothing more frustrating than a team mate that cares more about the colour and fluorescence of his boots, struts around like he’s an NFL star that has agreed to reduce himself to NRL level out of the goodness of his own heart.
Forget this guy, he’s a bad egg.
With Hayne we’d be a dozen eggs with a rotten one thrown in.

Reasonable price and I would definitely take him. If Madge sees that he could gut him to the tunnel fit and motivated than he would provide a whole new dimension to our attack as well as experience and versatility.

All other side issues don’t really register with me.

Anything over 400k for us would be overs, prefer a quality forward.

Mbye is our fullback so we would be buying for him to compete to play in the outside backs? I could deal with that but not if he is one of our highest paid players. He is a quality player at the end of his career but he brings plenty of baggage.

If he wants money he should go chase a french rugby dream.

What about 350, with an incentive based contract with conditional bonuses make him work for it. You’ve got to remember he is unsigned for next year if he wants to stay in Sydney he may just sign anything.

Not a player we should target at any price. Destabilising influence, self admitted poor trainer, big media target and not at the level of play that warrants all the negatives.
It only makes sense for the Eels and if they aren’t rushing in it should tell you all that you need to know.

For the right price, I'd take Hayne in a heartbeat.
Don't care about all the stuff outside of Footy attached to him

Titans haven’t really fluctuated to much before, during or after he left.
Parra had some long term injury’s and off field dramas that weren’t Hayne related, and I thought he played ok last year.
If we were to sign Hayne it would have to be on a mediocre salary and TPAs to make it work.
I’d rather go after Oates or someone on the rise, someone with a future ahead of them.

Wow 11 pages. I thought this thread would be dead when everyone realised the guy refers to himself in third person

Seriously stop and think about that for a second.

Quite a few in that ‘virtual’ reality head of his.
