The HBG has 4 seats on the WSDRLC 7 seat board with the WSDRLC members voting for the remaining 3 seats.

So effectively the WSDRLC is an arm of the HBG.

Balmain has the other 10% of Wests Tigers Pty Ltd

I understand why he did it - originally it was put forward as a reason why a lot of ex magpie supporters felt that Wests were being disrespected and believe not a lot has changed since. The funny thing is Balmain were defunct the next year and WT was the reserve grade side. Lasted 1 year.

I do recall a little bit of that, so I stand corrected.

In saying that, I think the majority have the best intentions for the JV; most were probably acting out because we finally had some hope and HBG pulled the rug from under us, out of nowhere..

However I’m sure it means nothing to most WT supporters whilst ever HBG decisions/influence keep sabotaging stable administration of WT.

Gee I wish HBG could just make decisions in the best interests of WT, unfortunately even if HBG may ‘think’ they can make the right decisions, history would suggest otherwise and the success of the last 12-18 months just emphasise HBG’s inability even further.

For WT supporters the last 2 weeks is just a snapshot of the frustrating life of HBG control 🤦‍♂️

I know next to nothing about the history of the HBG/WT issues. In the last week or so I'm getting the impression that even if all of the HBG reps on the WT board had the best interests of the Wests Tigers at heart, the entrenched magpie nostalgics would do their best to undermine any positive work.
