I've got the solution, the tigers can go west! Appeasing the Wests contingent but not all the way west, more like an inner west, thus placating the Balmain faithful and so spawning the Adelaide whatevers!

the club has had a main black jersey for 6 or so years and have a meltdown with an orange jersey. All this shemozzle over a jersey and colour tone that the majority of the fans love.
Crazy stuff!

He does and it can be sure he will do his own investigation on this whole sage and find out the truth.Love or hate PVL, he gets shit done..
I don't know much about accounting but after having a brief look at the Holman Barnes 2024 annual report I think millions is slightly overestimating.Watch the Daniel Paton statement you ignorant imbecile.
When you are happy to pour millions into the club annually and not be given the courtesy tu be consulted about major decisions, maybe then you will understand.
I'm a dinosaur and agree with you. how old are these blokes im in my 60s and I was a balmain boy and for 25yrs a west tigergen zer’s aren’t the ones on the HBG board. just the dinosaurs and look where we are
Did he not state decisions were being made without him (which I assume means the board) being consulted ?I have listened to Daniel Paton’s statement. It makes very little sense about the actions taken.
Most Wests Tigers supporters have jumped to the conclusion that this whole situation has come about due to the 2026 home jersey being mostly orange and assuming it is a step in trying to eliminate the Balmain side of the merger.
This is supposedly based on various quotes of previous conversations with Dennis Burgess and backed up this morning by Lee Hagipantellis.
Contrary to this belief is the public statement made yesterday by Daniel Paton who emphasised there is no agenda against the Balmain side of the merger and stated they poor money into the Balmain juniors, they are not obligated to do this if they dislike the Balmain side of the merger so much.
Paton went on to state the big issue that led to the independent board members being removed was lack of disclosure on things that are supposed to be reviewed and passed at board level.
My understanding is these topics include the ComBank Stadium deal, the 2026 jersey reveal amongst a host of other things.
It’s fine for any fan to say why does the board need to know about these things, but the truth is these type of things, particularly the ComBabk Stadium deal would be discussed and approved at board level by any club, just the same as any business needs big agendas to be passed at board level.
It’s since been rumoured that Barry O’Farrell approved these things and believed him being chairman of the board meant he could give approval without it being raised or voted on by the board.
Common sense tells us all that if this is true, it is not right and has the possibility of dodgy dealings being done.
There has been plenty of comments stating the HBG board members would have known what was going on, well it’s likely they didn’t know anything about it if O’Farrell was making executive decisions without presenting them to the board.
Something to think long and hard about before we jump to conclusions.
Maybe they were asleep, who knows.with the stadium policy, did hbg not realise the funding was happening or the agreement with council for 7 games at Campbelltown?
or was it the fact Leichhardt received funding first that annoyed hbg ?
what were the 2 hbg representatives doing in the board meetings were they asleep when the jerseys were being designed.?
Think long and hard too mate. If this was the case, why was there no issue raised at board level by HBG reps, or other board members for that matter? Why was this not discussed and fixed? That's the correct way to resolve. Most Wests Tigers supporters have jumped to the conclusion that this whole situation has come about due to the 2026 home jersey being mostly orange and assuming it is a step in trying to eliminate the Balmain side of the merger.

It was reported some time back that HBG reps often don’t show up at board meetings.with the stadium policy, did hbg not realise the funding was happening or the agreement with council for 7 games at Campbelltown?
or was it the fact Leichhardt received funding first that annoyed hbg ?
what were the 2 hbg representatives doing in the board meetings were they asleep when the jerseys were being designed.?
You can repeat that as often as you like. It simply does not ring true.Maybe they were asleep, who knows.
Daniel Paton suggested they, meaning the HBG were not aware of major decisions being made.
Well either Barry O or Daniel Paton are lying.Listen to Barry today he says otherwise to everything you have suggested.
If this was all on Barry then why punt all the independents and not just Barry or all the board especially if it never went past Barry. What you’re saying actually makes no sense based on the HBG actions.
Believe what you want end of day they punted the independence of the club which was the biggest part of the review. A big part as to why things started to change and gave hope. Something that was setup to make the best decisions for the Wests Tigers and not HBg. It was also a condition of Richo signing up.
My belief is HBG hate not being in control and the jersey decision made them freak out as to how much power they’ve lost as such they want to force it back to how it was. Removing independence means Richo leaves = HBG back in control.
What do you reckon we should do with these HBG crackpots mikey, my solution is to blindfold them all and let them loose on the Ukraine front.Breathe Grasshopper, Breathe.
lol or read papers or watch TVIt was reported some time back that HBG reps often don’t show up at board meetings.
Fair enough, but don’t forget Barry O’s track record either.Think long and hard too mate. If this was the case, why was there no issue raised at board level by HBG reps, or other board members for that matter? Why was this not discussed and fixed? That's the correct way to resolve.
There will be a trail in meeting minutes and Barry already said there is none. Given HBG have a reputation for embellishment (other hbg members booted), I'll stick with Barry on this one.
This is just so toxic and patheticIt was reported some time back that HBG reps often don’t show up at board meetings.
