I did listen. I listened so intently , that I realised an employee of HBG was saying there was a lack of communication which lead to 4 independent directors ( who have no responsibility whatsoever to relay information to an employee of HBG ) losing their job .
If Patton wants to know shit about the wests tigers board for the 100th time , he needs to go to his elected representative in one DENNIS BURGESS.
Patton … runs the pokies and day to day of the leagues club … he is not a delegate of the wests tigers board . HES NOT EVEN A DELEGATE of his own board ! What is hard to understand here ….

No - I am not saying either of them are lying at this stage as we do not have enough evidence to know the truth.
That’s the issue, so many people jumping to conclusions without having the factual evidence that will evteveal the truth.
By sacking the independents they have dismissed the findings of their own commissioned external review. The current leadership of HBG is on a completely different page to the former members who are virtually now all now sacked.
The messages they send out can be taken with a grain of salt. This organization is made up of people with personal agendas that are not aligned with a large percentage of the supporter group while stirring up those who hang on to hope of days long gone - and we are at the mercy of the constant division that they create.

Ok now we are getting somewhere. How could they not have been consulted when two HBG reps were board members? Not only were they consulted, as WT board members, but were actively involved in the decisions themselves.

Very blunt statements from Barry.
He is a political operator and he knows that people who keep quiet get rehired, people who don't, dont.
But this seems to be him giving a fight. Heck it's Barry O'Farrell, he doesn't have to have a board position and can retire comfortably (doubt he even needs the generous state pension).

All I am saying is the Daniel Paton statement gives a clear reason as tj why the independent board members were removed, but very few want to consider what he stated could be true.
Surely most of us have been around long enough to know there are always two sides to a story and not everything written in the media is true.

Where's all this Richo is imperfect revisionist history coming from? Yes, many other people will apply for the job if he leaves but that doesn't mean that most of them will be any good or hold a candle to him. Questions for you:
1. If HBG had representation on the WT board, they would have been present at meetings, right?
2. So why are they not passing the messages back to the HBG?
3. How does that become that the fault of the independent directors?

There was a statement made yesterday that they were not consulted.
So either that’s a blatant lie, or everyone is just jumping to conclusions like a heard of sheep.
Why are you just totally dismissing what DP stated yesterday ?

It may be somewhere in the middle. The problem that can't be excused is if their response was not to raise it or have a discussion at board level, but rather to just dissolve the board.
And if this was an issue, and Richo was doing this with Barry, why is Richo not marched? I can't believe Richo would expose himself like that. While he likes to get things done, he also always respected HBGs role.
It just doesn't make sense.
It honestly sounds like the same BS they peddled when they booted the properly elected HBG board members.
