HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

rant alert , this whole thread is about ranting ,venting its amazing what damage this club has inflicted on its self, People jumping at shadows ,etc turning on each other over the fine print on their moral standing , and the wise 1 ;s shooting them down on a 16 hour shift , lol x3
Nobody knows the facts yet or have heard anything reliable from a trusted source .
To be honest i jumped the queue and took a pot shot at the 1st self serving sook , and you were it ,coivnty

If they have an agenda to 86 the orange, why wouldn’t they do it themselves instead of leaving it to their subordinates and then sacking them when they didn’t kowtow?
Exactly GNR...you've been doing some excellent posts by the way.
You youngsters with your modern language...I thought 86 must have been a typo but I thought I should check my co-pilot before I abused you for it.
The things old dinosaurs learn every day.

I have 4 sons aged 50, 39, 38 and 36. They all remember Wests quite well. I told them all "don't follow Wests because they'll break your heart". The oldest follows WT but he's more a rugby man, the next guy is Souths, the next guy is Broncos but lives in WA and will follow the new Bears team and the youngest is a WT tragic like me.
Hi dad, it's me..

You’re literally saying the exact opposite to what he’s saying … how did you join those dots in your head ?
The issue isn’t competence . The issue is “best interest of wests tigers “ and how can anyone and I mean anyone , whether you’re 55 or 40 or 90 or 70 , say they are doing what’s best for wests tigers if their allegiance is to one of the foundation clubs . Anyone who’s heard Dennis speak for example everything is wests or magpies .. it’s written all over his head where his allegiance is.
That is the issue . And the older you are , when you’re talking percentages of life the more likely your core allegiance is not to wests tigers . If you’re 75 and you’ve been following the same team since you were 5 , that means 2 thirds of your life you’ve been a magpies fan . So understandably that’s where your heart lies .
If you’re 40 , that means 55–60% of your life you’ve been a wests tigers fan. If you’re 50 it’s half your life .
Thats what the issue is. And if you want to claim agism as a thing , it’s not because you’re old . It’s because your age means your loyalty is elsewhere.
There’s millions of studies that dictate how and where and why and length of time it takes to form an allegiance .
We need people who are loyal to wests tigers and only wests tigers .
Im 78 and hsve loved the Magpirs since i was 10 but my alegisnce is to the Weststigers tell Burgess to bugger off i say.

Awesome mate … like I said I was merely stating a generalisation. If it’s not accurate ..: then that’s awesome . It’s more power to you and you as a person. It wasn’t agism .. more a calling for a change of guard . Some new voices in the room…

This isn’t a supporter movement so Age and even if someone supports or has supported the Magpies is irrelevant in my view.

I think we as fans need to be conscious that this is a delicate topic for all of us and Magpies fans regardless of frustrations they are an important part of our club, history and DNA - & a fair few feel the same way as the rest of us.

It’s the management that is yet again creating the major disruption that is causing the past being brought into the future when it’s just not needed.

We need to deflect all our focus on the management / owners not at our fellow supporters.
I applaude your caution around the sensitivities, but anyone who remembers eiither foundation club has had the same amount of time to adjust. Management and fans included. 25 years is a long time to hold a grudge. Not long enough it seems for some.
