I am a member, I go there to watch the odd WT game and I used to visit the Bistro....I would agree with your percentages wholeheartedly. That in itself is the fundamental issue at Wests Ashfield, the food/beverage and entertainment is woeful so the only motivation to become a member is to accumulate credits on pokies. Any incompetent fool can run a pokies den so when people say they do a good job running clubs, based on my experience i have to disagree.

Will wait to see if this happens (problem will be getting the members to actually sign, then vote for this, but that is a direct shot at the current board and the antiquated system that is currently in place.

If it is signed by enough and then refused or ignored, then a lot can actually be pushed for through Liquor and Gaming I would say. But as I already said it will come down to voting members actually caring enough to sign it first and then pass the changes at the meeting.

But interesting and very positive if things come from it.
 
Wow , I hope this does go ahead and the people needed to sign get on board , after reading this Dennis and co will be having multiple meeting , going around shaking hands with patrons telling them there is a group trying to ruin the place etc etc , would love to see this go ahead , Dennis and co be shitting like really shitting themselves , wonder what PVL is thinking when he reads this stuff just a few weeks after he had to stick his head in and sort stuff out , maybe this is PVL working in the background with a few of the names dropped
 
So let me get this right... this new petition to the club, the petitioner wants to remove a board of directors who have been legally voted in, operating under a constitution confirmed as fully following all NSW Liquor and Gaming laws and replace them with 7 random people who have not been voted for by the members.

And then they demand a change to a constitution of a legally operating business, a profitable and successful business, one which isnt breaching the NSW Liquor and Gaming laws, and change the constitiitoon to allow for the appointment of said 7 random people?

And to boot, Gary Barnier's name is in there. You want Barnier involved in the Leagues Club? We've seen his track record of running a business. There is a good ABC doco which outlines his abilities.
