HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I had us making the 8 last year until I saw them play against Newcastle….seriously though, last year was a weak comp and we let a good opportunity go. With a couple more experienced forwards and the young guys having spent another year together, I’d be pretty dissappointed not to see us finish 8 at worst.
I still think we are a quality prop shirt but have us making the 8.

No but disruptions from the top do cause instability as no-one knows what will come next, and people don't want to be associated with that, be it corporate, player, or any interested party who stays away from it.

And that is the issue, and has been the issue the whole time. Thus the "little picnics in the park" as you call it, is the beginning of trying to fix the issues. As the saying goes "the fish rots from the head", HBG, and more specifically the current debenture holder controlled board is the head that is causing a rot to start (again).
I have zero love for HBG and have been saying all this for many years.
None of us really knows why that move happened, the reason given was flimsy. Probably an underhanded way of getting rid of Richardson who I wouldn’t be surprised to hear is tough to work with…

True, but they also have done it internally (as everyone knows the current board was formed after a coup against the previous board which was formed after a coup of the one before that), so it is certainly more a power/personality thing for many of the HBG board over a lot of things (a lets get our faces seen as being important).

Just more reason to remove them as they are only out for themselves over the actual success of the leagues club, or anyone associated or tied with it.

Perhaps for some clarity, someone can list here the Team of 7, who they are, there background and WHY they are considered suitable for election to a board of directors.

At least one of them has a disgraced background
You win, the 7 of them put together could not possibly be as competent or as highly qualified as Denny or any of his merry band of debenture holders who would no doubt exceed the requirements of the most demanding skills matrix.

Denny and his crew are without a doubt candidates of the highest integrity, possessing strong governance skills, always displaying sound judgment, and would no doubt have a proven track record in change management that has led to a successful culture. 🤣 🤣 🤣

The magnificent 7 have nothing on your mob.

The key thing under the proposal is that the 7 can be voted out or in if they dont perform.

The skills matrix is key to all this too - only qualified individuals.

Does this mean your on board Tuck, HBG out, although it probably won't go that far now looks like the board is going to cop the old death rattle.

So you agree that a fully functional leagues club should have it's elected board removed and removed with a non elected board?

Ever considered a move to North Korea?

And please explain why you think Barnier is a suitable candidate? Please can you explain his resignation as CEO of Opal Group?
I feel that a board and football club controlled by exclusive debenture holders sounds more like North Korea and this is a revolution to topple the dictatorship that has lurched from one inept decision to another.

They might be good at pokies and schnitzels, but they have absolutely no idea how to run a football club.

You just couldn’t help yourself - had to go personal.
As I've pointed out for years now, you instigate a lot of the blowups on here.
My opinion is NEITHER the HBG nor these protestors will have anything to do with how the club performs this season.
What’s personal ? When did I go personal ? You’re having a go at the guys who are trying to initiate change ,and I’m calling you out on it . It’s very easy to criticise from 2000km away and Monday morning quarterback and told you so. Which is what you’ll do . Like you always do . No matter which way it turns out .
And I was questioning your criticism of the guys who are in the trenches trying to initiate change . Inevitably at the very least their heart is in the right place .
If you want to turn this into a blow up , go ahead . Don’t twist your way out of having underhanded dog shots at guys . Especially guys for better or worse trying to affect change .
I’ll wait for your passive aggressive mocking about round 6. Should be interesting Zzzzzz
I have zero idea how you became unblocked on my account …

It was a witch hunt. No matter what your feelings are toward him & HBG- this always felt underhanded when it came out on this forum.
The news of HBG sacking the independent directors hit the headlines pretty abruptly. From all reports, HBG sacked the independent directors and didn't tell them directly; they heard about it via journalists (this was weak imo).

So its was only natural that someone, somewhere, was going to take a look as to who was running the show at HBG... social media is one of the first places people look. Correct me if Im wrong, but I dont even think the person who posted the findings was a tigers fan..

So what was meant to happen next once this information came to light? Its not like there were any underhanded tactics, it was open for the public to see.

So how exactly was it a witch hunt? Im not seeing it.
