HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I don't want the club to be controlled by that level of dysfunction. It's why we make poor decisions
That level of dysfunction as you call it could be a distant memory in a couple of years time for all you know.
Different personnel brings a different mindset and a different way of thinking.
A couple of months ago there was an agenda trying to say all our players will be looking elsewhere due to issues at board level and onsinthey were all devastated about our former CEO resigning.
Fast forward to now and all the news reports are indicating all our off contract players want stay, maybe things are not near as bad as what some people portray them to be.

If they adequately support our rugby league department they will be part of any success.
Support our Rugby League department?

The playing group was that concerned by the behaviour, we had to extend the least credentialed coach in the comp until 2030. He has the 2nd longest contract in the NRL.

Success in 2026 will be because the playing group overcame the HBG issues.

We need to look towards the future and stop worrying about the past.

Honestly, if you are still believing that the HBG is anything but a dysfunctional train wreck of an organisation then no amount of evidence to the contrary is going to change that perspective.
Who cares what people think.

If we going off history it shows ashfield have a mechanism where they have a team in the NRL and theres nothing anyone can do to take that away from them.

So do you look at career criminals and say " yeah, I know the history, but it COULD be different tomorrow!"

Do you know how silly this sounds?

Why take the risk on such an established poor history? Would you put your own money down on things changing?

I agree with this to a point. We should be measuring success slightly higher though.

It seems like no one is willing to consent or compromise on the topic of what the Wests Tigers actually ought to be as a club. And that's always going to come back and bite us in the ass. There are clear conflicts of interests in acting for what is best for the JV and what is best as a Wests Ashfield debenture holder. That's not a criticism, thats just what we are seeing play out in reality.

I'm really encouraged by the podcasts supporting the club, and also the Wests Tigers unite movement. I think that changes the dynamic somewhat. The discussion needs to be re-framed from Wests vs Balmain to old clubs vs Wests Tigers, and kept that way. The biggest faction and most powerful faction in this situation are Wests Tigers fans, they just haven't fully sussed it yet.
