I don't have a safe, but my wife does and it's so heavy you'd need 2 people 2 steal it.Another excellent response BZN, keep that secret safe.

My offspring are 36, 35, and 25, and I took the older 2 to games of footy all over the place, including LO and CSS, and they have no recollection of either merged team. At all. So much so, that back in 2003 or 04, when Krispy Kreme opened, my daughter did not know who Sirro was.I don’t know why there are so many derogatory references to age in this thread. Age has little to do with it. A 35 year old could have followed Wests or Balmain pre-merger. Does that mean that we should disregard the opinion of all over 35s?
I’m 74 and I reckon just about all over 70s on this forum do not support HBG’s actions this week. That includes old Magpies and Tigers.
Give Wests Tigers members voting rights for the board is a good outcome, then you just reinstate the sacked four.Seems crazy that 20 people who chipped in 100 bucks each can never be removed from power.
I think there is so much cronyism going on at HBG, that even if they did get rid of it, they'd find a way to wriggle back into power somehow.
The most direct way to solve this issue is the NRL threatening non-renewal unless the club is sold to new owners and ensure the board is majority member elected. Any paying member can stand for election if they wish.
Sadly that would mean the Rozelle site would be lost, but I'd be prepared to let that go in exchange for HBG removal.
There's a lot of old Wests fans who continue to bring up the 90% ownership and the HBG often do this as well, however I believe sporting clubs get to a point where they're metaphorically owned by their communuty of fans and you need to allow that community to have a say. That's a missing piece for us and people feel like they have to grin and bear the annual or bi-annual shit show these clowns create every year or two.
i’m 27. i couldn’t tell you a thing about balmain or the magpies. i grew up supporting the only thing i knew which is wests tigersMy offspring are 36, 35, and 25, and I took the older 2 to games of footy all over the place, including LO and CSS, and they have no recollection of either merged team. At all. So much so, that back in 2003 or 04, when Krispy Kreme opened, my daughter did not know who Sirro was.
Yeah I think people would take that as a win. As long as HBG can't remove the member elected board members.Give Wests Tigers members voting rights for the board is a good outcome, then you just reinstate the sacked four.
No one will give a rats who the HBG reps are they will be in the minority again.
I have 4 sons aged 50, 39, 38 and 36. They all remember Wests quite well. I told them all "don't follow Wests because they'll break your heart". The oldest follows WT but he's more a rugby man, the next guy is Souths, the next guy is Broncos but lives in WA and will follow the new Bears team and the youngest is a WT tragic like me.My offspring are 36, 35, and 25, and I took the older 2 to games of footy all over the place, including LO and CSS, and they have no recollection of either merged team. Understandable and you couldn't care less about Wests or Balmain which is as it should be.i’m 27. i couldn’t tell you a thing about balmain or the magpies. i grew up supporting the only thing i knew which is wests tigers
Not if the heavy hitters get involved to put things in place so they can't F with the system.Yeah I think people would take that as a win. As long as HBG can't remove the member elected board members.
It's a bit naive to think it will happen though for lots of reasons.
So you’re a leftist greenie, that explains it.Nah I don’t ! Same thing . You have to research who owns it , usually the Murdochs unfortunately , so then you have to take the right wing agenda into account . Then you have to take into account that thier algorithm for subscribers and clicks is based around rage baiting people - and you have to really take it with a grain of salt . For me I try to read various articles from various sources . Sometimes I might be reading or watching an ABC program about an issue, and it makes me want to punch myself in the face with how agenda driven it is , but I have to to form a logical opinion. Sometimes , which is happening a lot lately I simply don’t form an opinion because nothing can be trusted . It sux really , because I just want to know the facts . Like if a kid shoots his mates ina school in the USA , Murdoch media will victim blame , and imply its failure from the school , and left media will imply something else . And I just want to know how a kid goes into his school and shoots up his mates . And who and why . Etc. point being . I try not to consume mainstream media if I can… but it’s tough because you don’t want to be sucked into all the fringe bullshit by algorithms as well. Anyways lol
krispy kremes are gross, had my only bite at blue toungue . WTs beat melbourne, 1 of only 3 games they lost, Melb that is during normal comp that year ,crowd played a massive part in that imoMy offspring are 36, 35, and 25, and I took the older 2 to games of footy all over the place, including LO and CSS, and they have no recollection of either merged team. Love your optimism SteveNot if the heavy hitters get involved to put things in place so they can't F with the system.
It's really a case of Que sera sera. You won't be if HBG lose what power they think they have if the NRL and gaming commission start gnawing on their arse which is long overdue.
Is there anyone under 50 that wants the Magpies instead of the Tigers???
This is the dumbest shit I’ve read in this thread and it is chock full of entertainment.View attachment 30489
Wests Tigers Unite
🗓️Date: Saturday, December 13th
🕦Time: 10.30 AM
📍Location: Pratten Park
❓Why? Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne has convened a rally to save Wests Tigers following the extraordinary sacking of all independent directors on the Wests Tigers board.
The rally will start at Pratten Park and will include a march to Wests Ashfield Leagues Club, where fans will demand that the Board of the Leagues Club (the Holman Barnes Group) resign.
HBG actions have some similarities with the actions of those who want a Caliphate...interesting referenceIt's really a case of Que sera sera.
I nearly spelled it Quesurah surah only to find out the surah part of the word is actually Arabic for a chapter in the Qur'an.
I think this time HBG have bitten off too big a piece and might choke on it.It's really a case of Que sera sera.

I can just imagine the sound it would make, and I have to imagine because it was only the tough guys that did that, not me.Yep those Ashy bastards. We used to send scouts out to make sure the coast was clear but occasionally they'd get us. They'd take our hats off and roll them along Hercules St to see if they could put 'em under a car wheel. It's a horrible sound the sound of a straw boater going under a car's wheels.
Do they, is it.HBG actions have some similarities with the actions of those who want a Caliphate...interesting reference
