did a pre season with the boys tooHes already hanging around the team pre and post match and in full training. If anyone knows about kids playing very young it’s BQM. His NsW cup games clearly show he’s ready .

We need depth if the kid comes through as expected one of Skelton or Toa is your backup. That’s how strong sides are built. He has to earn his position beating out NRL starters which is also positive.Lots of big calls to be made if/when this kid comes through as expected.
Hard to leave out Toa/Skelton when fit. Both playing injured at the moment so it’s easy to forget how effective those two can be.
Someone’s gonna get upset and leave in the end, ofc
In an ideal world, sure - would love to have Skelton and To'a casually called up when we're depleted. We need depth if the kid comes through as expected one of Skelton or Toa is your backup. I do get a chuckle about all this.I dont see howm you can say hes ready for NRL when he hasnt played yet....its a huge step up and we dont need to rush him.
I think Bula.may be back.in this week...douehi touched on all the positional changes and how clunky we were.
Chucking a raw center on the bench against the premiers isnt a smart move imo
110% B2T let the kid develop and gain more experiences and would let him play Flegg next season as well before pushing into the first team.I do get a chuckle about all this.
Wests fans are so desperate for a win-fix they’ll tip the crèche out in search of a new messiah.
Compare it to a club like Melbourne and how slowly they brought young tyro Jack Howarth through their system. When he finally hit the NRL he was already performing like a seasoned pro.
I’d leave Makasini in NSW Cup for the remainder of the season.
I think the key is to give them a go here and there but not leave them in even if they go well.I do get a chuckle about all this.

I don't agree his Cup games have been that impressive.Hes already hanging around the team pre and post match and in full training. If anyone knows about kids playing very young it’s BQM. His NsW cup games clearly show he’s ready .
He's also had his knee issues so it may be that the opportunity for Makasini comes naturally.Agree. If he's fit he's a weapon. He scored a double on the weekend just barging over TNT style.
Rather Chuck him in and drop Toa regardless. Toa injured and bad defensively.I think we'll see a debut before the end of the season
Totally agree, I for one would not resign Toa, he plays okay for 3 games and the other 20 odd he is a defensive liability.Rather Chuck him in and drop Toa regardless. Toa injured and bad defensively.
and drops bombs along with being out of position in defence.Seems like Skeltons expendable for many.....hes been great for us, folded oppositions in half the las three of four weeks, scoring tries
Or you can compare it to a club like Penrith who gave Casey McLean his debut last year when he was still only 18 and after only 7 games in NSW cupI do get a chuckle about all this.

Didn't Chris Lawrence juggle his exams with his NRL debut. As per the article, he should finish his school commitments first, it's an opportunity he will never get again. There's plenty of time for NRL after they are over.
