He’s plays with plenty of heart.
He’s far from the full package just yet, but looks like a player who will continue to improve.

Agree. He isn’t a fullback and hopefully today is the blueprint for him. Needs to be a direct runner and focus on the line not at the back.

He had a lot of energy. I still think Latu and Luai will offer a more balanced halves partnership once he is fit, but he could be a good back up and also offer something in the #14 coming on for 20.

He’s gotta be in the 17 somewhere, if not the starting side. Given the way he played tonight, I wouldn’t be in a rush to replace him with Latu.

Have to pick players on form, not expectations. I’d personally keep him in front of Latu for now, but if Latu plays, I’d have him ahead of TDS as the 14. Even though TDS isn’t there atm, it won’t be long surely. You can’t keep persisting with a ham and egger like Naden..

Good first outing I thought. Certainly makes me a bit more comfortable if Bud doesn’t come back next year that we’re okay in the halves. Think Latu is probably more talented but Heath certainly looks a future first grader for sure. If Da Silva leaves (hope he doesn’t), could be a good option at 14.

I was against the move to play Mason at 6…. But he certainly showed enough to underscore he is one of the best 17 at the club and deserves to remain in first grade …unfortunately he is strictly a back and they need forwards …

He played well. Kept his game simple and was effective. It was one game though. Happy to give credit due. Let’s hope he continues that path.

Agreed. Also last time Latu came back from a hamstring injury he was on a minutes restriction.

No need to rush him straight back. Might need to rush back Pole though the way our middles are looking.
