Heighington megathread

So why is Heino being singled out ? Nobody's position should be guaranteed?even Blair , it should be based on current form not forecasting future form? I don't think anyone in the pack has performed and remained on field unjured more than Heino over the last few years. He has been a great retun on the invest. This is due to his fitness and passion for the club . You can't buy passion.

Well that will do me Sheens never selects teams on form hasn't from day one how long have you followed Sheens coaching at the club?If your one of the boys you are on the teamsheet every week regardless of form

I agree about passion tigercannon.

But I don't think Sheensy would have guaranteed anyone starting spot. He just said to Heighno that he better be prepared to fight for it based on current form. How can we not applaud Sheens for putting a bit of competitiveness in the club? Have you seen Heighno step up over the past 3 weeks?!

The thing we are missing is that Heigno was still wanted by the club, but as soon as sheensy wouldn't guarantee him a starting spot. He looked around. I know he is a great bloke and apparently loyal clubman, but some of the negative focus has to be on Heighno surely?

He isn't prepared to be picked on form and it looks like he is the one who approached the panthers. Not the club.

i'm not so sure hammer.
rhino has been at this club a long time.
he has seen first hand what happens when sheens puts players in a certain box.

like bronson at prop, doesn't matter that he isn't a prop,he keeps playing him there until he leaves.
doesn't help your maket value either.
i stated at the start of the season i was worried sheens would have a must play moltzen mentality, instead of building him back up again for first grade.
i don't think he has done moltzen any favors this year.

morris was our cronk and we watched in horror for 3 years.

we have seen sheens play out of form players for months on end in the past.why would i trust his word that the player with better form wins the spot.
while i don't watch reggies,i'm sure there have been players in the past that have deserved a call up from their efforts alone, regardless of the first graders form.

i just get the feeling that once sheens puts you in a certain box.you are more than likely to stay there,no matter what the form is.

maybe rhino has noticed this as well.
if i was his manager,i would be pointing this out to him.especially when coaches like wayne and gus have shown interest in you in the past and present.

if he stays,it will be interesting to see the form lines and selections.
peronally i think he goes dwyer as starter no matter what. :brick:

I agree Bon about Sheensy's persistence with players despite it not working!! So frustrating and I can see what you mean by Heigno taking that as a signal that he may not get back into a run on side considering how Sheensy works.

But I have a feeling that this new attitude was a condition of Sheensy's resigning. He wouldn't have restructured without a push from somewhere and management might be getting more involved. I hope its the start of a new culture in the team, valuating players on skill and attitude, rather than time served.

We haven't gotten the best out of our players for a long time.

I hope the Dwyer injury ensures Heigno Stays….

I don't wish this even though I prefer Heino over Dwyer at this time, Dwyer has potential become a great player when he develops his defenece. However, I here that Dwyer will never play again. The tigers club could be keeping this under raps as they have already been critised over the Dwyer incident.

I agree with your comments 100% tigercannon, heino is the only player to be asked to leave why not the others who have not performed eg Farah.I am not saying I want him to go he is a great player but not this year he has been playing well below his ability and am only using him as an eg.Is blair worth all this trouble ,the team we have missed out by one point in making the grand final last year WHY CHANGE A TEAM WHO HAD A STRONG BOND TOGETHER thats my question

He hasn't been asked to leave and it has been stated the opposite that the Tigers want him to see out his contract with us! He is seeking his options :bash

How do you know he hasn't been asked to leave or speak to other clubs?Have you spoken to him?

Thats not for discussion on here, but don't always believe what you read in the media. That's all i'm saying, no beef with you chippo!

thats the mail from within,,, ryan will be his travelling partner at the foot of the mountains,,,,,well i just hope we have signed 4 top players …..

My mail is that Beau has signed a 3 year deal at penrith. Heighno is unhappy with whats happening at the tigers and wants out. But tigers will not release him unless he goes to England.

Amount of times these rumours are posted here:

So these are RUMOURS!!! I don't care how good your "mail" is - the choice of thread topic is, once again, misleading. They're not even new rumours…

What's Humphries going to say this time? Is he going to accuse the Panthers of stealing our players?

There is already a thread on this…. Why the need for all these new threads with the same crap in them!
This place is turning to crap as is our season!

Just got a text from a mate in the media who is close to Ryan with his work at nine, Rhino and Ryan both signed with Penrith on Friday and Benji wants out after a big blue with Humpty. If this info is correct and Iam sure it is our club has hit rock bottom
