Heighington megathread

Just got a text from a mate in the media who is close to Ryan with his work at nine, Rhino and Ryan both signed with Penrith on Friday and Benji wants out after a big blue with Humpty. If this info is correct and Iam sure it is our club has hit rock bottom

If this is true why would your mate wait until Saturday 8:30pm to tell you this?

Why would his important mate in the media phone up this particular chap the moment he has any juicy goss? Obviously they have only just spoken.

Iam only telling you what I have been told, believe me this info comes from a bloke who is very close to Ryan in his other job. So I dont doubt it, my only reservation is like with Moltzen, they are all under contract so at the end of the day its up to the Tigers to actually release them even if they given them permission to go out in the market place.

My guess they want to clear the decks and start it fresh in 2012 and would even consider letting Benji go if they cant get him behind the team in 2012.

Im not denying the rumour. I have been told that Beau will be a panther next year. But Im questioning the Heighno part. I dont think the club would release him with the doubt over Dwyers injury. Unless Gallen is coming…

if this Heighinghton rumor is true then not even signing Dugan along with Blair will make up for that.

Well if we have to choose between Humphreys and Marshall… it's Marshall every single day of the week.

Maybe but at the end of the day we can't have a recruitment policy based on who Benji's mates are.

Maybe we choose neither Marshall or Humphries Must be some five eight somewhere we can start a rumour about ??

Well my mail says Thurston finds Townsville too hot and wants to play under Sheens because they bonded playing yahtzee during a Kangaroo tour. Apparently JT faked his injury to give him time to look at real estate in the Inner West.

I like everyone like Hieghno for his effort but the other day I saw a stat and it backed up why we are letting him go - The stat list was hit ups of less then 7meters - so in other words a poor hit up and Highno lead this stat for the NRL - the problem with a stat like this is that he gets involved a lot and its poor - at least if someone isn't that involved they arent making things worse but a poor hit up is something that effects you whole set - especially if he is doing 1 a set

That doesnt surprise me. He regularly runs back into the markers and is manhandled.

I would like to think that all media types are sensationalist at their best. Always trying to stir things up, and being a mate, maybe adding some spice to the story about Benji.
