Heightington

I really don't want to rip into the bloke. It was an awful hot day today and everyone was struggling. Im not even reading too mich into the result such were the conditions and the disruptions we had with late injury pull outs.

However i really don't think Heightington is an 80 minute footballer. He is giving away disgracefully cheap penalties whichcould easily be avoided. He looked too tired to pick up a few balls today and subsequently dropped them. And his defence was left wanting on a number of occasions.

Obviously all the big men were going to struggle today however he was made to look plain ordinary. There seems to be to much ill discipline and errors in his game in both attack and defence when he is clearly playing under fatigue.

I agree that he seems to get knocked up quicker than he used to….however if all the forwards showed the urgency today that he did for the majority of the game we would have won.

There are two big name players for us who didnt have a go today whilst another had a shocker...they are the ones I'm filthy at....

How did you come to all this conclusion? :unamused:

He's a frustrating player thats for sure. Many times today i thought he was doing good. Some of his defence saved us, just like it did in the first half last week. But as usual, he lets himself and his teammates down eventually.

I dont know what to make of him, the areas i had a big problem with him last year have improved, but he's brought other poor play in to replace the things he was doing poorly last year. How long do we persevere with him when we have the likes of Gower, Mataka, and Payten, Akeripa, Dwyer returning from injury and also the fact Moors is better suited to the backrow?

Contribute something worthwhile to the thread (for a change) and i might bother with a half serious answer

His game has gone backwards and he's now a liability. Giving away stupid penalties has got nothing to do with being tired. Its just being stupid. I cant find a spot for him when Gibbs, Fulton and Payten return. Esp with the way Fifita went today.

rhino problem is the mountain of defence up the middle he has to do …i agree he needs a break at times ,,,, but when we make our first interchange , the holes appear ... and please do not blame rhino for moltzs poor pass...

once payten gets 2 games under his belt heigno should drop back to the bench for the first 20 then play out the rest of the game with payten then moving into the prop role
