HEROES

yeah after 100 minutes of heartbreak last weekend, plus all the injuries, playing on their home ground it was a great win

hahahahaha, i like the "almost".

U know what, theres a couple of players we could criticise, but at the end of the day, for a team to come back after what happened last week was dead set sensational.

Benji Marshall finally became a superstar. Farah was outstanding. Bryce Gibbs is defensively better than Glenn Lazarus.

Lets not forget some of Gareths tremendous tackles and Galloways great go forward

Geo, you think we should play Lawrence next week? He almost singlehandley cost us tonight. Maybe he will gain confidence and be back to his best but i think its a risk. Lui will be targeted on the right and Lawrence will be targeted on the left.

Marshall on the other hand can tackle anything at the moment.

This is why we love supporting this team. Pride and all ticker tonight. 180 minutes of semi final football in 6 days. Unbelieveable.

To be fair to him his 2nd half defence was much better then his first. He seemed to grow in confidence as the game went on.

Ummmm Yeah ….the left hand D was Poor esp on our line....Lawrence wasn't on his lomesome and I think he will be better for the run...what he adds in attack ie the decoy run for Lote's try is worth the risk IMO....We need to score points to beat the Drag queens and that combo has produced over 30 tries this season...

Lawrence still pulled off some crucial tackles...

Oh and hats of to Bronson as well he was outstanding for the Radiers...

You can't give out flack after that performance Sirro. So many players had question marks. If they couldn't get home, it wasn't because they didn't want it.

I don't want to dampen things, but Heroes is not the right term I would use here. Footballers the lot of them. Not heroes. Just guys who love their footy and their teammates.

You think? I saw him make at least 3 misses that he would normally make. Look im not doubting Chris Lawrence, the guy has it all. But theres no doubt he just could not tackle tonight. The way he let Harrison carve him up and then the way he let Campese go straight past him is a worry. I dont mention these things to be negative, i mention them to invite discussion about how Chris will respond next week.

Yup every single one of them but Fitzy. Did he get any game time at all??

Im wondering if channel nine got the team list wrong because i saw Fitzy at half time in a tracksuite and sneakers. I think maybe Meaney was the last man on the bench.

I think Fitzy was there purely in case of injury, which is fair considering all those in doubt.

Wouldn't have him there next week though, get another prop on there and lets smash the Dragons!!!

The semi when we beat the Dragons in `2005 was the greatest atmosphere you could ever imagine, I just can`t wait until next Saturday night at Homebush, it will be a sell out with Tiger Mania running wild.

The Tuquiri / Lawrence miss was because neither of them could trust Lui in defence, and they both covered and got confused. Defence is all about trusting everyone in your line. I thought Lui actually did okay for most of tonight - forget hiding him, let him stand up.

Cover of Ellis/Heighno on the inside line and rush to shut down Campese was awesome. I am very sorry he was injured. While it was important for us, you never, ever, like to see a bloke out of the game like that.

The forwards stood up tremendously to a very, very good pack. We've played 170 minutes of excellent, tough, finals footy and the whole team has stood up.

Ayshford was superb - after a tough week with a virus.

I haven't even mentioned Benji, Robbie, Bryce, Todd, Lote, or many other yet. Even Beau - the 50/50s didn't roll for him, but he was brave on the kick returns, smart sheperding the ball over the line and took an awesome high ball. And he was in the right place to give himself a chance to score a couple of times.

Fire up folks - this year has a good feeling about it. No negativity at all please this week. Just sit back, unite and enjoy the ride!
