Watch the love come out for this serial grub. If brooks is missing a game for his "dangerous" tackle hodges should miss 10\. However we all know how this will play out!!!! It would be good karma ti see him miss out after yrs of head tapping and sledging other players when they are down

Hodges will be remembered as one of our best right centres. I have high hopes that Seve will develop into a fine right centre for the WTs.

Super player, one of the best centres of his generation; and a serial pest.
Finding it hard to have any sympathy for him.

I'm more interested in the reaction from up north if he does get suspended. With no NSW team remaining the old "NSWRL Conspiracy" is suddenly a dead duck. Who do they aim their XXXX Gold fuelled outrage at then?

I'm starting to believe that the judiciary are just as corrupt as referees these days. I shake my head at some of the results coming from there, not the least how Pritchard got off with kneeing.

There are times when I think that a player will easily get off, but gets suspended. Then there are times that I think that a player will get a month, but gets off.

I believe the Hodges SHOULD get suspended. Now I wait and see.

I agree, based on what I saw last night he should definitely miss the Grand Final, no question. He and all the Qlders will be filthy that the fairy tale ending is ruined.

But based on what I've seen from the judiciary lately, he'll most definitely play. And the rest of us will be filthy at the injustice!

I think this is another of those scenarios we see each year where imo rep games and finals games should be graded differently to premiership games and trials.
The same action from a player in a team in round 26 out of finals contention can see that player cut his sentence out in a trial the following year…while Hodges could miss his last game of a long career which happens to be a GF

GF swansong
Trial game

Its out of whack imo....im no Hodges fan believe me, but the sysytem is wrong imo

Definitely, but after taking that into consideration does it still warrant him missing the game? Glad it is not me making the decision as I am really split on the bloke, as I hate him, yet admire him all the same.

he should get off…
it's his last game.
deserves a break.
say sorry and move on, he'll never play again... maybe

Would love to see the tosser get rubbed out of the GF, but he will get off IMO. Depends who you are in the NRL, as we have seen many times before. If it was Taupau who did it he would be missing a handful of games. NRL is as corrupt of a sporting organization as it gets.

Scam Smyth missed a GF in 08….so it has been done before...koalas do cop it occasionally, rare, but yes

If the judiciary has any credence at all then they must treat illegal actions equally throughout the season. Lifting a player and putting them at risk of injury can't be dismissed because of sentimentality.

1-2 weeks minimum. No doubt about it. Plus he has carry over points. If he was an angel he might be able to plead guilty without suspension, but he's a wanker and misses the grand final accordingly…!

If Adam Blair a couple of years ago gets a 1 week suspension for a dodgy leg pull, and brooks gets a week for his "dangerous throw" Hodges should get a week as well.

Too frickin bad if it's his last game, couldn't happen to a nicer guy… :roll

A fitting end to the career of a serial grub, cheat on and off the park, recreational drug user, and lethargic trainer.
