Hodges

Both teams will be at full strength, so it's a great result IMO. May the best team win.

Btw Guerra has admitted to trying milk a penalty by jumping into the air.

It shouldn't be the judiciary's aim to ensure both teams are at full strength. If the NRL heirachy were to be remotely believed any tackle which jeopardizes the safety of a players head/neck was supposed to be punished pretty severely, hence the crackdown on shoulder charges (unless you are Kane Evans of course). What sort of suspension would Hodges have got if it ended in a broken neck?….regardless of whether or not his buddy went in to bat for him at the tribunal. Double standards need to be eradicated from the judiciary process.

Guerra clearly jumped FTB….if you cannot see that then I dont know what youre looking at

If it was so clear cut and obvious then why in the hell did Hodges even have a case to answer? The match review committee obviously thought he had a significant role in that tackles' outcome or else it wouldn't even have got to the judiciary. I sure will be interested to see the punishment for the 1st bloke next season who commits a similar offence.

The easiest solution for this in the future that any players who admit at a judiciary they faked get a Grade 3 contrary conduct charge and get a three week holiday

It will end like that

I remember Campbell Brown (AFL player) got into trouble after admitting he lied about being eye gouged by Chris Judd which cost Judd a Brownlow medal.

Youve clearly a personal agenda here, who knows why the MRC do what they do. They just pass the buck

Can you see Guerra jump?
Everyone can

Better rescind all the suspensions of players who have been involved in Greg Inglis up-ended tackles then. Most commentators believe he plays a big part in those tackles too because of the way he bends or leans.

The morons also say that Alex McKinnon played a major part in his serious injury. If he wasn't lifted the risk is very much reduced. Apply the same logic to Guerra. Hodges should be gone.

Oh mate now Ive heard it all …youre comparing Hodges/Guerra to mackinnon....chalk and cheese

Hodges didnt lift, he grabbed a foot...Guerra jumped

i've said it before and i'll say it again coz this is something i absolutely hate.

players should be held responsible for putting THEIR ownself in a risky position. ducking your head into tackles, leading into a tackle with your head, jumping in tackles to milk a penalty etc. i understand there's a fine line but something needs to be done to stop these idiots from milking penalties and putting themselves at risk

The Judiciary Process is built around legal arguement and precedents. Its basically a court room scenario.

Why should players not be allowed to tell the truth?

Are you a fan of innocent people going to jail for crimes they didnt commit?

This is a great outcome, Guerra speaking up. The focus now hopefully will reduce the frivolous charges being placed on the players via the match review committee who have little to no accountability.

People do tell lies sometimes watty

There should be penalties for that, but it was obvious to me what happened.

Guerra will retire from football and become Mayor of Brisbane!

So why not bring something in that might deter footballers trying to earn cheap penalties ??

Wonder if Guerra comes forward if it was Jack Reed or Adam Blair for example ??

There lays the issue young Watto

Ink, I know you won't change your view of that tackle but I re-watched it on Youtube and Hodges did lift Guerra's leg. I watched it multiple times and he actually lifted his leg above chest height before Guerra "jumped" for the penalty.

I rate your view on this as much as I rate the prosecution experts against Lindy Chamberlain all those years ago. Not much at all.

Where did he lift him from?
Where did his left hand touch Guerra?
He had hold of his ankle/foot….funny place to grab a bloke if you wanna tip him on his head.

Next.

Oh yeah of course. Someone has a different view than yours so it is clearly a personal agenda because of that difference. Good one. If everyone can see that Guerra jumped then I will ask you again…why did Hodges have to front the judiciary in the 1st place? Someone reviewing the footage after he was put on report obviously thought there was something in it.

Nothing about differing views, its common knowledge youve been down this road before..others have pointed it out - QLD/Melb/Bris/Bennett/Smith/Hodges…same old song from you

I'll answer you again, who knows why the MRC do what they do?
Why did the ref place him on report?

Its all a process...a process

Guerra is well over 100KG...if anyone wants to tip him on his head - grabbing his ankle is not the way to do it.

Let it go....its clearly eating you up

That happens everyday in our current legal system… Witnesses, accomplices etc come forward to help out innocent people which they believe can contribute to ensuring the truth is heard.

Players are allowed to defend themselves also. They are allowed to bring evidence. Justin asked Guerra, and he agreed to present his version.

Whether or not Guerra would do the same for Reed or Blair is up to him, and consider whatever circumstances he deems is suitable. This is his choice, and right!

Massive difference is any witness can be forced to testify or be held in contempt Watto

In this case your saying they can pick and choose and that is wrong legally
