Holden was dead in Australia when the last V8 rolled off the production line.

Owned a VE ute and it was a troublesome POS.

Time to remove the import tax now so I can get my Toyota cheaper.

U ever get the stretched timing belt issue?
Lolllzzz... man. The VE was a flop.
Nice looking car tho.

Yeah stretched timing chain at 70K KMs. They wanted $3200 to fix it. I told them to fist themselves and I whored it off and bought a Toyota. Haven't looked back.

Apparently it's a 2 day job...
A lot of places refuse to do it cos of that.
I got quotes for 4k as well.
Absolute joke.

The blaupunkt sound systems are a fail too.

Believe it.

Some manchildren that lived across from me a few years ago...
Pair of 50 year old brothers who still live at home.

Had some blue VL.
Supposedly it's special and worth 200k.
Still a lame bogan looking car.

Crazy prices hey !

They weren’t that good when new !

My mate has a bt 1 vl ex chaser
The amount of people who come up to him and talk about it is insane
Still the most comfortable seats in my opinion were made by Holden.
Big ugly ,comfortable, cheap, powerful cars won’t be another like em 🔥

Lol

Holden actually suck

Ford has and was always the true king of the rivalry

What are you talking about TheDaBoss
Get back in your GoGo mobile and toodaloo down to the shops
Better top your car up with oil while your out

Its about time I hung a bit of fun on you so thought I would post an image of your car

You must be in the shops now

For those of you good at maths just look at the following image and work out who is the king of Mount Panorama
![Screenshot_20200220-155109_Samsung Internet.jpg](/assets/uploads/files/1582178196374-screenshot_20200220-155109_samsung-internet.jpg)
I guess we will find out who the real bogans are if you come up with the wrong answer

What is that I hear
--------------
Nothing
--------------
Dedicated to the real king of the mountain
Peter Brock
Now he knew a real car
?????????

Like I’ve previously stated . All that mt panorama is simply brand building bs. If GMH were serious they would have produced better cars for Australians. I’ve owned 6 holdens, my father was a Holden man, but all that died during the last century sometime when we realised we were getting dudded. But to our dismay our governments continued to prop them up to the tune of $Billions.

Lol, why do I feel like I've seen this before?

The fact Holden were trying to sell a Camaro for 90k when it competes against a car costing 65k says it all

The Australian car manufacturing industry died the day the iconic Mitsubishi Sigma hit the market.

Or when the government agreed to the Lima declaration and decided to cripple our industry and work force and send it off shore to third world countries which in modern day we now rely on for almost everything (China) when we could have and should have been a self suffient country with thriving industries.

Holden died the day they stopped production in Australia and it was only a matter of time before the brand was dropped.

Putting the Ford v Holden rivalry aside it is sad to see it come to an end. Our politicians should hang their heads in shame, they killed off manufacturing in Australia.

If you get a chance watch the Shannon's End of Era series hosted by Shane Jacobson and if that doesn't leave you pondering where it all went wrong or doesn't bring a nostalgic tear to your eye then i guess you were never a car person or didn't grow up in Australia between the 60's through to 90's.

Agenda 21.

I don’t know much about Agenda 21.

I just know that cars, like the tigers are a big part of my history and it’s a shame that in our country we don’t make cars anymore.

Ve’s had a problem with the timing chain and the fix is about 2k. But most cars have had problems. Some of the worst cars from a reliability perspective have a supercar badge on them and cost $100000.

Sigma was fine easy to fix cheap and zippy

VE had 9 recalls in 7 years
( just sayin)

Holdens fix for the timing chain issue was to raise the tolerance so the engine light wouldn't come on until the warranty was out.

Ok true the ve might not have been the crowning glory of Australian motoring history but my point is still valid.
