Wow how good is that. These boy's can go all the way now. Especially with curtis sironen leading them around, this young kid will be playing first grade very soon. By the look's of it they will be playing St Greg's in the semi final. My mate went to see the Matto V Dom's game today and he said Greg's will smash them as there forwards are soft, look's like Matto won't be able to buy a cup like they did with all there import's in 2007\. He said he has seen Greg's a few times this year and there getting better and better. Ever since the story by Josh Massoud about rugby league dying at the school, it's like a pearl harbour effect to awake the giant's, and there dead serious about getting back to number one with nswrl, west, pumping heaps of money into the school rugby league program. Holy cross will win this year for sure, Greg's will have to wait there turn🙂 Like the 9 times champ's can't wait another year…....

First Holy Cross side to make it this far since 1989 - all involved are very proud to have made it to this stage.

Holy Cross will play Matraville in the Semi Finals.

St Greg's lost to Matraville 22-6, Holy Cross are in with a good chance of getting through to the finals based on what I saw today.

Biased calls included shoulder charges, head highs and offsides of which they were all day. The penalty for incorrectly feeding the scrum was another that they asked for, he told the half 3 times where to feed it and was ignored each time. Unfortunately for Bass the bash and barge tactics that they adopt won't win games against teams that are not intimidated by them.

Holy Cross had 2 x 18yr olds 10 x 17 year olds and 5 x 16 year olds, give credit where it is due. They work as a team and all play for each other.

They are a real chance of getting through to the GF, losing 2 halfbacks will make it difficult for them but that won't dampen their enthusiasm.

Schoolboys Cup Semi Final

Holy Cross v Matraville.

3:30pm Centrebet Stadium Penrith prior to Wests Tigers NYC game.

Holy Cross 18 def. by Matraville SH 34.
A great effort by the boys to have made it this far; to the top 4 in Australia, the last Catholic and non-sports school and the first Cross side to make it this far in around 20 years.
Next year, next year.

Great effort by Holy Cross they are a very skillful team with some genuine footballers. They had good structure and were well organised, the halves Matthew Woods and Curtis Sironen directed them brilliantly around the park.

Football wise Holy Cross were the best team unfortunately the other much bigger team with their many overseas representatives proved to strong.
