Home Ground situation needs to change

@Telltails That is true, but some public pressure could have changed things. Whenever Liverpool was mentioned in the media there was nothing from us. As I have pointed out WSS is my preference for our home ground, other are saying Liverpool would be better, I'm saying it is too late for Liverpool as that needed to be pushed when WSS in Liverpool was still an option!

Go to the top of the class 😛oint_up: @Snake for a brilliant post.
This is exactly what Our Wests Tigers supporters need to hear. As I said in a reply to @cochise only a few moments ago...we need to give our old ideas away to look forward to a bright new future identity for Our Club.
I was even in agreement with another post suggestion putting forward the excellent idea of a stadium in Liverpool.
We have an ex-Premier of N.S.W.on our board now for goodness sake. If he can't get something amazing going to please a majority of Our fans, I really dont know who can, cheers :relaxed:

My old allegiances and ideas were put away a long time ago, the ideas I am putting forward here would not be my preferences in an ideal world, these ideas are what I believe we need to do to move forward as a club. In an ideal world BW would not even factor into to my thought processes but this is not an ideal world and these decisions need to be made in reality and not in our fanciful dreams or our desire for the past to return!

The ideas I push is to create one strong and unified club that my daughter get share with her children! I don't want our club to become a memory so am willing to make decisions that I would not make in that ideal world!

G'day @TrueTiger: I'm pleased to hear that all our older folk/old fart/ dinosaur/old fossil supporters like you and I haven't fallen off the perch yet.
I have been, I am still and I will always be a proud Western Suburbs Magpies supporter.
But, the reality is that Our Wests Tigers is now the team I follow daily and watch whenever I can, and I truly don't foresee the Magpies making a comeback. Those days are well and truly gone!!! Keep the sunny side up True Tiger :relaxed:

As I said MAGPIES1963,I lived in an era that I was proud of,Iam suggesting as you say we are one club and we must make it a club that the younger generations to come can be proud of just as we /I was of the Balmain Tigers/Magpies..but we must also make them aware of the 2 great historical clubs that the WTs were formed by...I do not suggest that we go back in the past but we must remember the past...Wests Tigers are one and they will only get stronger and better as the years go by...

Yep, fair enough @cochise I'll go along with a bit of animosity :skull_and_crossbones: between the 'teams' eg tonight's game...enjoy :relaxed:

Why are we talking about BankWest like we pack it out and deriding ANZ for poor attendances in the same breath? All games we've played at BW have been poorly attended and it's patently obvious on television as well.

If ANZ meant cheaper tickets, more money to the club to play there and no one being shut out I'd be all for it.

Imagine if we actually found some consistency and won two thirds of our games over a season, we'd regularly get good crowds, especially against other larger Sydney clubs and if they too are doing well.

For me ...whatever idiot wants to fatten our pockets with the best deal we should take

But we need the majority of our home grounds at one fortress

Majority of EPL games are played without incident ......you'd probably find the same issues occur at most NRL games that occur at EPL games

And the atmosphere at EPL is far superior to NRL games ......packed houses every week

@cochise: I would imagine when the opportunity was there for Our Club to push for WSS in Liverpool, we were still heavily embroiled in and therefore distracted by damaging infighting :skull_and_crossbones: :relaxed:

@cochise re your "My old allegiances and ideas were put away a long time ago" Does having a set of Wests Tigers number plates attached to my cars for about 10 years qualify for your above statement?
I agree with you Cochise, no fanciful dreams and the water that's gone under the bridge IS 'past' history.
I still stick with the idea of an upgraded Campbelltown Stadium though. Not because it's in Campbelltown, but the fact that many people know and love it already and would have to be easier to upgrade it than start all over again somewhere else.
It will be a real $$$ spinner for whichever Council is smart enough to take Our Wests Tigers on cheers :relaxed:

This I agree with, I would have loved for us to push for Liverpool, I would have even been happy to push for Badgery's Creek or Blacktown with the Panthers. Liverpool would have been a great fit though, even with our ownership being in Ashfield!

I would have loved for Campbelltown to be our base, but it just isn't an option. That is me being realistic, not anti wests.

Canada Bay council has already taken us on!

fair enough @cochise: It's very obvious we still have a long way to go before 'everything' is sorted out. It's gonna take time and we're gonna need a bigger boat, ah sorry, ground. See Yuh :relaxed:

Just because we weren’t mentioned doesn’t mean we didn’t try. The press can be sharks when they have an agenda and want a specific outcome. I wouldn’t read to much into the fact that you didn’t hear from WT. It probably just meant that what we were saying didn’t meet the narrative the press were after.

Once the new soccer stadium is built at Campbelltown, maybe we can come to a shared arrangement? 18k capacity did i see? Thats about right for our crowds on a good day.

G'day :relaxed: @Furious1: I wonder why it is that soccer can afford to build a stadium at Campbelltown but Our Wests Tigers can not as so many on here are saying. To me, something seems crook in Talarook but it's a no brainer IMO that We do build a new and exciting stadium .in partnership with the soccer authorities :relaxed:

G'day @hammertime: I don't agree with your thoughts re playing out of Homebush or Parra, but it's a post you have put a lot of your thought into and Our Wests Tigers Forum I'm sure can take in any and every idea and throw them around, cheers :relaxed:

It is about identity, brand and partnerships.

The new a-league team is backed by a couple of very big property developers. They have linked themselves to the local council and university with a vision for an upgraded stadium and centre of excellence selling a win win situation for all partners.

The Tigers have decided to base themselves in the inner west and take what is offered
