Looks quite good mate, as long as there are no harsh taste you have done well for your 1st brew. Don't worry about the cloudiness, though you can clear that up by cold crashing your next brew.

Nah, no harsh or bitter tastes, I'm quite surprised. I could crashed for 2 days though. There wasn't much of that brown stuff on the side of the fermenter so maybe the yeast didn't activate as much.

Did you measure the gravity?

I did. It didn't go as low as wht the can suggested but was stable for 2 days. Fermented for 12 days, maybe i need a bit more patience.

Did you measure at the start as well? If you did post you starting and finishing measurements if you know them.

1048 start, 1010 finish.
Can said 1008, but damned if I go thirsty because of a can.

Mate that is pretty good and I would think that your yeast did its job. That is an alcohol content of round on 5%.

It's amazing, it was crystal clear yesterday.

Nah, whacked it in the kegerator and pressurised it to 40psi for
24 hrs then back to 10 psi and drank IMMEDIATELY . Thats when it was cloudy. I'm just gonna give my next one a couple of more days in the fermenter and the keg. I was just surprised it cleared in a couple of days.
Cheers for the help boys!!

I haven't done any all grain brews yet, I probably will try one soon.

I've managed to find a chest freezer that my fermentasaurus fits in, so I've got a Pilsner ready. (Really excited to now be able to brew lagers and pilsners at this time of year). One of my sons is bring over an IPA.

Have you put a brew down for Christmas? If so, I'd love to know what's going to be on offer at your place.

Yes it is, I actually had labels made up with that on it when I used to bottle my beer.

That's a great logo.

I haven't done a stout for years, which is surprising because I love the stuff. Something for me to aspire to in 2021.

I lived and and worked In Ireland for a couple years and made a significant contribution to the Guinness Coy profits during that time.

Brewing up a Hazy IPA today, and kegging a Pale Ale.

I've got a Pilsner, Raspberry Sour and Oak Aged Oatmeal stout on tap at the moment.

Putting the canning machine to use as well.

Very good off Tap at the 4 Pines breweries not as good in the bottle.

I’m going to take this advice. I’m getting a Kegerator for my birthday in late Feb.
i know its the cheats way of brewing but its a simple way to make great tasting beer.

Is that a manual canning machine?

They look a bit fiddly to use. Have you had any problems using it?

Took me about 6 cans to get it right but no problems since. I checked everything with feeler gauges to make sure it was right.

I haven’t canned a lot because the cans are still pretty expensive. For now I just can up the last few litres in a keg when I want to make space for a fresh keg. I’m going away for a few weeks in January so I’ll probably can a fair bit to take with me.
