So it seems like a lot of members of this forum are on a collision course atm. I'd just like to say that from my POV, thinking that the nines tournament means diddly squat for how this side and the young guys go this yr seems like a ultra sensitive topic. And if i say that, it does not mean i think people should be predicting the spoon (Foreveratiger), its just that i believe people need to keep an open mind and be prepared for anything this yr, cos this yr reminds me of an old Forest Gump saying

2015 is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. That's what i'm saying

I wasn't expecting a lot from the 9's , the two wins were a bonus .

IMO lawrence is a hack it's been almost 4 years since he dislocated his hip , and he's done nothing since .
I'm sick to death of people saying he's a great club man , he's a nice bloke , he goes to church every Sunday & he helps old lady's Cross the road .

He's a Massive liability in any format of the game wether it be 9 a side , 17 a side or 50 aside .

Naiqama looks the goods.

Drinkwater is solid and will probably end up another Blake Austin (fill in amazingly when needed but too good to waste his career in NSW cup or as back up.)

Lovett / Brown –- not first graders, may never be....??
Luani & Lawrence .... trash.
 
Hobbo,watch the blood pressure mate,be cool it's only early days…..

I think a few of us may be surprised how well the team goes this year,there certainly is a lot of enthusiasm around from the young players and they could cause a lot of the teams problems,it's how they handle the gruelling NRL season overall that could make the difference.......

I hope that they give the knockers a kick in the pants,just my opinion and it is an honest one.....
 
I honestly expected Tigers to get belted in all of the games. To see the young guys getting great experience and playing pretty well was a massive suprise. We finished top of the pool (which included Warriors) with only a handful of regular first graders like richards, lawrence, simona, sue etc? The rest were all 20's and state cup players. How could you ask for any more…...Stop whinging ffs

I think with Lawrence people were pretty keen to see what all the fuss was about from him saying he was the fittest he'd been. He put pressure himself by doing that.

Lawrence is crap fullstop. Talk up how fit you are all you like ? but reality there is no speed on those legs of his
 
I'm not frustrated at our performance the last 2 games. I'm frustrated at Jason Taylor.

I have no problem with us not picking our best team. But I have a big problem with the balance Taylor chose and his tactics. IMO we won the 2 games despite the coach, and the last 2 games were a better reflection of his poor selections and instructions.

Way too much pressure on poor Drinkwater and Cherrington. Resting Simona saying they don't want to push him. Well don't select him. Select a kid like Heleta, Seve or Peni.

In fact, just pick any backs at all rather than so many forwards.

IMO Taylor took the piss out of us fans this weekend.

Throw in Martin and some speedy youngsters and we give it a shake.

So overall I think today showed nothing in regards to our season. It was a waste of time.
 
It was just great to have some footy back to watch.
& the fact that we did better than expected added to the couple of days.

All in all a good weekend :slight_smile:
