Hookers

These are things i could definitely see happening.

Need to let Rua and Tannous develope this year in case they're needed in 2023.

Also Peachy is an option.

I'd be keeping Jake S. For 2023.

Mate seriously those 2 if needed in 2023 we are stuffed for Hooker depth, they are way off.

Peachy isn't an option we need him at Lock, if he is playing any decent time at Hooker we have big issues.

Simpkin I cannot see us letting go & hope we don't unless we end up in a far better position (trade wise), the biggest challenge we will have is if we want to extend him with Api being here for 1 extra year then we could be stuffed.

Anyone else scared Api signing is a bit of a rush decision, guy was pretty useless in todays trial....
Maybe, though if we want our club to attempt to strengthen positions it has to be done when opportunity arises and for Koroisau that opened on November 1st. He did change the Penrith side, but they were lacking there and a competent hooker may have done the job.

Have always maintained that Liddle is an NRL level nine, even if he may never be that rare 80 minute one, most here seem to agree by stating the belief that he will be signed elsewhere. Whilst I am less sure on Simpkin becoming the better player, happy to have him here until proven otherwise.

Young Rua certainly showed some good signs that he could mix it with the big boys, though apart from a possible cameo appearance here and there or necessarily through injuries, see him as another year or so away.

Judging Api on a single trial when it was clear the Panthers didn't move out of 1st gear during the trials is crazy. Lets judge him on how he goes for the season, ideally the last 2mths of the season + finals (the Panthers will be playing finals footy).

People like what they see in him. I don't think anyone is saying he should be our first-choice 9 anytime soon. He's got a lot of potential if these trials are any indication.

That is true and like any player with potential you try to keep him, however lets see how he is going in 6 weeks.I am sure somebody from the club would already be talking to him

Hard to know from the outside, though the ee's, as in @barnzee and @slurpee seemed to be stating that they have a bit of knowledge (inside?) and some concerns on Rua.

Explosive type, though calls for him to join the top squad look to be premature, assuming that WT still have dollars available to bring a NRL ready player to fill the final top 30 spot.

Having just released the last of our development players with a guaranteed top squad position to gain that spot, surely the club will at least try to avoid such again as well.

In my opinion and I have no idea of what is going on beyond 2023...this year we have Liddle if he stays injury free and Simpkin and maybe Peachey as a last resort...2023 Api and Simpkin with Rua still developing and learning NRL,he will also have Farah in the background honing his skills...after that then its anyones guess who plays the 9 other than Api or maybe Simpkin and Rua....really I just have no idea what the insiders have in mind...
Im not really sure about Tannous as I havent seen anything of him other than a couple of reels....

Well I dare say we have to give rua some form of contract for the next 3 years I’d go development for the next 2 then top 30

Rua is more than capable of playing 20-30mins off the bench in NRL later this year. If Simpkin was last year then Rua is this year. Both are similar, Rua is more powerful, Simpkin now skillful. Rua has nice service too. If we don't offer him first grade next year at least half a dozen clubs will. Development contract won't be enough.

Anjani and Tannous don't even come into the equation for first grade. Neither has even played Flegg
