1. Staines
6. Laurie
7. Wakeham
9. Api

It's terrible but they deserve 4 weeks and Brooks and Doueihi 4 weeks in reserves. If Brooks and Doueihi can perform in reserves then they can push for a spot in the top team if those guys there don't perform.

We should be planning for next season without Brooks and Doueihi.

Laurie probably isn't up to it as well but he deserves a chance to play for a contract.

Put Sean O'Sullivan or Trindal in last year's team and we still come last.

Put either of them in this team and we would be 2-2 min.

Yes we have quality forwards especially Api,Papalii,Bateman and Klemmer even Steph has potential to be great as Pole can be
However our backline is nothing more than a 2nd rate rabble Defence last year was diabolical This year the same can be said of our attack and that's playing behind a much better pack .I remember thrashing Broncos at Suncorp 2021 we put 8 tries on them
Our Backline is terrible got nothing !
The Parra / Penrith game on Thursday night was one of the fastest pace high quality games I've seen in a while
We would not even be in the same division against either of them

My mistake. It was false when he swore at Madge while doing subs too?
False when Gordon Tallis called him out for lying too?
The bloke is a germ and the club employed him.
 
I'll acknowledge straight up that this is petty AF, but just an indication of where my mindset is....can people stop saying we have had over 100 sets in the opposition 20? We have 30-40 sets per game (less completed). I know you meanplay the balls, but I have seen so many people saying this over the last little while.

Like I said, petty as f***, but needed to get that one out.

In the same podcast he did mention he's involved in an ambassador role with the clubs shorts sponsor BPCS or whatever it is - Barclay Pearce.

Yep..seen enuff of Laurie to conclude he isnt gonna make it as a NRL fullback(and the fact that he remains unsigned suggest Sheens agrees)....but he does have something(in attack) and maybe we'll see it shine at 6 where hes supposedly been training during the off season
Besides,theres just nothing else available in the squad atm,tho punting Kenny creates space...?
Theres a potential problem that Laurie +Wakeham will be a pair of speed bumps in defence,but its not as though Doeuhi is the next Terry Randall in waiting
Plus weve got a near Origin forward pack to support them...which our incumbent halves are currently completely wasting

I agree mate our pack is 100 x better. Our selection on the bench rotation is still a joke though. Out pack is getting on top in all 4 games, last year that never happened. It’s 100% our play makers who can not execute. Brooks short passing and kicking game is just awful. Until the board drop the ego and except brooks needs to be dropped and released nothing will change. It’s clear to me the rest of the squad have zero confidence with him at 7 especially with the money he is commanding. Footy players [This word has been automatically removed] and backstab about money just like anyother work place.

Bang on Ellery.
How is it fixed though. That’s the frustrating thing for me. I just watched our Reserve rage side and it ain’t coming from there. I believe the only way is to keep releasing players and try to pull a rabbit out of our hat and somehow get a fringey who is blocked elsewhere to address the immediate problem of zero attack via our halves.

Agree 100%, I said earlier if we even had Chad Townsend we'd be 4-0 now and top of the table. Make a splash for Blake Taafe, he's played in a GF, played with Benji and wont break the bank. The extra 5-600k wed save from Brooks contract invest in a gun fullback
 
TBH ive asked myself the same question last year was bad embarrassingly bad, we recruited well but the spine is so dire apart from Api. I think all the new guys are putting in i think it just shows the scale of the rebuild necessary. Arguably 1-7 needs a transformation 1,6 and 7 need replacing imo. I still cant explain why we are going worse maybe we havent gelled maybe some are tanking i dunno its diabolical.
I havent exactly been thrilled with Sheens i thought it was a good option when all and sundry turned us down, but it doesnt seem so. The comment of winning the 2nd half yesterday really annoyed me its like we were down 50-0 at halftime thats an absurd comment.

A team that has gone into seasons without legitimate centres for years has chosen to take a different route and enter the year without halves.

We sacked a premiership winning coach due him being out of touch with today's game and replaced him with a coach who has been out of the NRL for 10 years.

I think most could see this coming, but didn't want to believe it.
