How did the reserve players 18-25 go last night v Dragons?

Could someone who watched the trial tell me which of these reserves got on, and how they went, please?

18 Sione Fainu 19 Jake Simpkin 20 Heath Mason 21 Alex Lobb 22 Navren Willett, 23 Sione Latoa-Vaihu, 24Solomon Alaimalo, 25 Tony Sukkar.

18 Sione Fainu looks okay with ball in hand. Didn't pay attention to his defence.
19 Simpkin is about the same as he was last year. Made one really strong tackle. I think he is a good back up option to Api. Ahead of Da Silva at the moment. Hopefully Da Silva will leap him at some point this year.
20 Heath Mason scored a try and made a few errors. Lets the ball bounce at fullback which is a no-no. Miles away from FG.
21 Alex Lobb carries the ball strongly and is good in the air. Is a little on the slow side though so got exposed a few times. Perhaps a Maumalo Mk 2. Won't start the year in firsts but I think he is second string and will get a spot if someone gets injured or loses form.
22-25 Didn't make an impression for me.

Of the # listed only Fainu, Simpkin & Lobb are probably the only ones who should get NRL time this year based on the 2 trials which says a fair bit regarding the depth of our squad atm.

Mason, Willett, SLV & Sukkar are a long way off.
Alaimalo don’t think he got a run.

I've read in another thread here that Alaimalo played instead for the Magpies, who got walloped. Maybe 22-25 were there too

Solomon didn't play.

The rest relatively quiet and under utilised.
Heath Mason got a try.

Sione Latoa-Vaihu looks decent, imo.
Like to see how he goes in cup throughout the year.

Sukkar and Latoa-Vaihu, good back up options with the correct investment.

Sukkar is going to be a big boy. That was about the only real thing you could take away from his limited time. He didn't stand out as being out of his depth either, so there's that.

Any news on why Alaimalo never played?

Yeah, he has a steep learning curve
It’s not rocket science to learn how to play on the wing for someone with a rugby union background.
Surely he’s played touch football, many of the positional play principles are exactly the same as when playing touch football.

It’s not rocket science to learn how to play one of the toughest sports, in the hardest competition in the world?
Give the bloke a break, he will be ready when he is ready.

It’s a winger, you stand outside if your centre, man up defensively, defuse kicks and high balls, run the ball hard and score tries.

All we need to do is throw him in a few touch footy comps and he'll be right. Dally M winger of the year on the horizon.

Is Solomona Faataape not eligible to play ? Thought he went well against the Warriors , offered far more then 1 good game Toa.
