How does Taylor avoid the spoon

The current game plan reminds me of the old Gallipoli movie when the whistle blows and the guys have to get up and run out of the trenches with bayonets only only to be shot down like slow moving ducks in a shooting gallery. Stupid plan then, stupid plan now. He won't avoid the spoon. We're gonski for this year, and I think sadly for next as well so long as we continue down this same path. Our "big guns" won't fire and our defence will still be rubbish. Only difference will be the year.

Great description WD. So true. Our boys are getting hammered. :frowning:

…he said extremely arrogantly.

When are you guys, going to stop rattling each others cages. Hmm ??
Let's just agree to disagree, without the put downs. :rant

Call me crazy but I still think we have the players now to make the 8\. Just need to tweak a few positions, the bench rotation & keep all our lads fit & healthy, i.e.

Teddy
Nofo
Kev
Simona
Richards
Moses
Brooks
Woods
Farah
Lodge
Sue
Lawrence
Halatau

Marty
Keith
Ava
Siro

\
Farah, Sue & Lawrence to play 80mins. Marty added to the prop rotation. Siro can come on for halatau as a roaming, ball playing lock rather than just getting the ball right at the advantage line. This would take some pressure off Brooks/Moses in attack while Lawrence/Sue can protect them in D.
As far as tactics go well I'd love us to defend with more line speed, stifle any opposition attack before it gets going. As for our attack well a bit of support play in the forwards is surely better than one-out stuff. I understand "earning the right" to play attacking/flamboyant footy but surely we can mix it up a bit more. Kick to the corners, give Simona/Nofo plenty of early ball, etc. Give Moses//Brooks/Teddy a license to play what they see once we've made the metres.

Obviously I'm no expert but I still think we can turn things around.

Despite being a bit more optimistic at the start of the season, and thinking we could possibly
Sneak into the 8.
From what I've seen so far , we are no chance of making it,
We do not have the halves needed to get there , and we do not have a Coach who has the ability to get the best out of this team.
We are stuffed, and could be for quite some time in the future , as what player would want to come here and play under this team killer Coach.
Maybe the Souths player who snotted him, was smarter than our know nothing Board and CEO

Neville no chance of making the top 13 and the top seven teams would have to be disqualified for us to have any hope of making the 8, and we would probably blow it.

Really with our reasonably friendly draw, a good run from the injury god and a general low standard of football across the NRL we should be running around mid table or better even with our roster but for what ever reason, maybe Taylor I dont know but we are going to get the spoon

Have to agree with that. The top teams this year don't look up to matching many previous years.

Seems Parra may have a few defensive issues 5 tries in 11mins….

Don't tell me that Taylor's has been Moonlighting at Parra too
I thought he went back to the Roosters last week
This improve the defence theory must be spreading.

The only way Taylor avoids the wooden spoon is the quit as coach now otherwise make space in the cabinet for the wooden spoon.

Last year we finished 13th and we lost
Adam Blair
Bodene Thompson
Blake Austin
Braith Anasta
Liam Fulton
James Gavet
Jy hitchcox
Marika Koroibete
Cory Patterson

and we gained
Kevin Naquiama

Who didn't expect us to finish last or close to in 2015

JT didn't put this team together and we have had lots of close losses (not today) so in reality without Tigers coloured glasses on in we come 15th this year we will have over achieved

I agree re the squad changes

I did not understand the pre season optimism regarding the side.

However considering the good run we have had with injuries i expected some improvement as a team. The fact we are going worse with every performance, there has to be something in that from a coaching perspective.

The question remains, how do we lose so many of our top 25 and sign no one into our top 25, we have been seriously screwed over by previous management, but the fact remains Taylor still sucks, and his selections and structures proves this.

Maybe we have invested to heavily in kids that may not make it in NRL …and squandered money once AGAIN,that could have been better used in some other areas ....
