Well yes it is.

Forum experts are blaming our forwards, who at times do get smashed, but dang its so easy to get numbers in on our blokes.

You can hear it at the ground, opposition players yelling out " smash him,one out!".

I put the blame soley on our pisspoor tactics for our terrible field position!

Aftet the Cowboys game i thought id watch this one from the lounge and concentrate on this point.

Youre right, we are getting smashed. Opposition knows we are one out for four tackles, they are compressing their defense and just lining up to give it to us.

Its a tactic that is never going to work.

. You can still make improvements without taking away the natural talent you have at your disposal.

That is all we are asking.

Anything more comes down to how Taylor responds to this challenge.

And we are just as soft in defence as we always were, so what's the point of this childish game plan ( and I use that term " game plan " very loosely

Agree, I'd rather go down swinging than trying to keep my guard up while getting pummelled on the ropes .

Most don't think he is wrong , most are just sick of trying to explain what is happening to people who have absolutely no idea and want quick fixes

Lol you're getting desperate. This arrogant response is not on mark nor is it necessary.
I don't know what makes you think Taylor is the Messiah who who will fix this club but he is proving not to be more and more as the season progresses.

Hey Stryker , happy's lost his marbles , before the season kicked off he was all doom and gloom .
And now he believes what's is happening is in the clubs best interest lol .

I was all gloom and doom because no one has bothered to try what Taylor is doing and I didn't think he would

We had also lost over 700 games of NRL experience and decided not to at least give Austin a chance to win the 5/8 position over Moses

Sorry to disappoint you Stryker , but I couldn't give a rats whether you think my comment was arrogant or not

A don't know if Taylor will be the Messiah , but he is doing something that should of happened long ago and no other coach had the guts or the balls to do

Again this all comes down to the fact that people don't like the way he is getting things done , and because its not their way its the highway

And every time I've disagreed with you Stryker that's how you act . You think I'm arrogant , you need to lose the superiority complex because its wearing thin and very boring ,trust me

Yeah nah its not a superiority complex its a superior argument.

The only arrogance is yours Stryker - everyone does not have to believe in - what you believe, as everyone is entitled to their opinion and make that comment.

You and a few others want a quick fix - that is your opinion. Stop trying to change everyone elses.

Loved your negative tick reply to my post by the way - If I am on my "high horse" - from up there at least I can see the forest for the trees. Please offer something intelligent instead of popping in from time to time with caustic remarks. You never know it might be worth reading.

Oops" there I go getting another negative tick for being on my high horse again.

I find this a little annoying. I don't believe that I want a quick fix. I don't see it that way at all. In fact I see the opposite. I want the team to start making some tough decisions to ensure that we are a competitive team for a number of years.

How do we do that ?

1\. We look at the weaknesses within our roster and fix that. We have a real lack of speed out wide so we need to get rid of players that aren't quality outside backs. Moving Lawrence to the backrow is a start. Getting rid of Richards is another point.
2\. We start trying to get the most out of the players that we have. We push a real solid defensive structure and some quality plays within attack.

Based on trying to improve our play over the longer term lets then assess what we need to work on and if we have the right structure in place.

Based on the longer term goal I think its obvious that JT has to go or we have to have someone go down to Concord and kick his ass. I don't mean beat him up. I mean that he has to be micromanaged because he doesn't appear to be able to coach the team at all constructively.

One key point that I don't believe that JT supporters are getting is that he is basically at this point a terrible coach. Our defence isn't good and its not improving. Our tactics and game plans have been terrible. Over the long term this guy is going to set us back.

We should be focussing on the facts not on the spin.

100% agree,we don't think this mess can be fixed over night, but we don't want to be bored stupid every week watching the same mind numbing plays and the same players making the same dumb mistakes week after week.
Taylor may have a great plan, but this team is not responding or is not the right team for this plan,as a coach he has to be smart enough to realise this and change to suit, but at present he doesn't seem capable of doing this.

The people who defend Taylor to the hilt will be telling us this is the wooden spoon we needed to win. We ran 13th in defence as opposed to 16th so were now on the right path to a premiership. Get out the party pies.

I just try and react to what I see with my eyes and happy to change my views based on the evidence presented. The fact are Taylor has got us playing progressively worse football as the year goes on with a relatively fit and healthy squad. Now he can still turn that around this year and in the off season, and i will praise him if he does.

Given I predicted they would run 13th at the start of the season anything above that would be ok with this squad. But like people have said he just seems to have bought in all these pre planned ideas, and is not utilising some of our strengths. I am not expecting miricles by any means but th last 4 weeks have been really poor even by our standards.

mmmm….party pies. Everyone loves party pies.

Call me crazy but I still think we have the players now to make the 8\. Just need to tweak a few positions, the bench rotation & keep all our lads fit & healthy, i.e.

Teddy
Nofo
Kev
Simona
Richards
Moses
Brooks
Woods
Farah
Lodge
Sue
Lawrence
Halatau

Marty
Keith
Ava
Siro
\
\
Farah, Sue & Lawrence to play 80mins. Marty added to the prop rotation. Siro can come on for halatau as a roaming, ball playing lock rather than just getting the ball right at the advantage line. This would take some pressure off Brooks/Moses in attack while Lawrence/Sue can protect them in D.
As far as tactics go well I'd love us to defend with more line speed, stifle any opposition attack before it gets going. As for our attack well a bit of support play in the forwards is surely better than one-out stuff. I understand "earning the right" to play attacking/flamboyant footy but surely we can mix it up a bit more. Kick to the corners, give Simona/Nofo plenty of early ball, etc. Give Moses//Brooks/Teddy a license to play what they see once we've made the metres.

Obviously I'm no expert but I still think we can turn things around.

Taylor or any other NRL coach would have their hands full trying to avoid the spoon with our roster at present. To many kids, not enough genuine NRL standard players and a real shortage of pace on our left edge.

Now these kids will not be kids forever and you would think that Taylor will be able to at least recruit a couple of hard heads for next year and move on some plodders, if this happens the structures and the work Taylor is doing now might reap benefits as early as next year. I think at present we just have to sit back and be optimistic at what may lay ahead.

In saying that no one will get the spoon off us this year, we have it in the bag
