How much money will we have to spend on the open market for 2018?

I was waiting for Geo's one liner

You said yourself we have no player contracted past 2017…so....we have the entire Cap to spend in 2018..

Tedesco
Woods..

Clean slate......

Only problem Geo, is that everyone elses, bank account will have the same amount as us to start.
I still think that what will happen, is that players will cost more, and the good players will still go elsewhere, to where the TPAs ARE greener.

Players to some extent have more bargaining strength next year, as they know that most clubs are in the same boat, and dont have many signed.
In a lot of cases this year it has been players who wanted to be off contract when the rise comes in , so they can cash in on the extra money
i cant see us being any better off , as far as costs are concerned, and well still have to pay overs in most cases.
Maybe Im wrong, but I dont see the extra money helping clubs any more, than the current money does now ,

…or a two liner

Tedesco.. The Ryde Rocket!
Woods..

Clean slate......

You have both ends covered there. Front row and fullback. Just have to fill in the middle spots.
The spine has to work. I'm not sure how you'd have at hooker come 2018.
Brooks did have a good combo with Teddy, however Brooks hasn't be able to play consistent football.
Maybe Moses and Cory Norman ?

It's true that we have room for basically a complete team, but so will a lot of clubs , with still much more money than we have( when you take TPAs into it)
The good players will still most likely want to stay where they are , or move to a strong club, and players will get more Than they are on now. That's the reason why a lot of players wanted to come off contract when the new money started( it wasn't just the clubs).
I don't see what difference it will make for the weaker clubs,
We will still have to pay overs to get the betterplayers, and the other clubs still will have a lot more to spend than we will

Id be concentrating on 2017 right now and trying to get that right first, imo id be letting either one of Brooks or Moses go preferably Brooks under this season's showing and trying to get Corey Norman in. Parra have only offered him $500 k give him the $600 k Brooks is supposed to get and build from there.

In saying that with our club thats pie in the sky stuff…

Norman is asking Parramatta for at least 700k.

That's $100k a season or $300k over a 3 yeAr contract less than what Brooks and Moses are after…. No brainer.. I hope that Pascoe is offering the Broses boys nothing before June 30... I'd be saying to both of the. Your choice if you wish to be with the WT in 2017, as far as negotiating beyond 2017 I'd be telling them the WT will commence those negotiations with them in December 2016 and if we pick up a Corey Noram in the meantime so be it...

MASSIVE clean out. The more the better (besides Woods, Teddy and ET of course).

This is a huge opportunity for us to get rid of the dead wood and start a proper rebuild.

I read somewhere that Farah will be SOO captain next year after Gallen retires. He'll still be with us on $1M

It was reported in the article about Norman at the Casino that he is asking Parra for $850k per season, that's a fair bit more than what Broses are asking.
Yes, he is more experienced and playing better. However come 2017 I'm not seeing that we will be in a position to get a better player with a cheaper price tag.
If we do take a step up in the halves, we will be paying for it.
So far this season Broses price hasn't increased (imo) due to form. If we can sign them on what they are currently on or less we will have a very modestly priced halves pairing. Then is up to them and the coaching staff to get them up to a higher level.
Their current contract isn't doing them nor the West Tigers any favours.
