Well it seems fairly log sided between both these Teams but i suppose they have the best structures in place.
Roosters tend to buy whom they want to fill any gaps.
Storm Trio of Smith/Cronk/Slater with Bellamy over many years.

As a club we have under performed, poor coaches, not retaining quality players, Salary cap breach, Paying overs on players.

On the bright side GF now always next year and only way is up.

Look at the Rooster now ..most clubs after winning 2 premierships and just missing another are happy ...Roosters see it as a failure and just over a week later are already trying to get rid of players who they think are the weak links .....now compare that to the WT's and our line up issues ....

Difference is someone will take their weak link. Nobody will take ours.

2011 ...Null

My bad, my memory said Roosters Warriors but it was manly

Should have been us .....

2010 should have been our year we were robbed in the prelim against dragons on multiple occasions during that game.

Lote copped a suspiciously illegal tackle which stopped him from scoring.

Every team should be looking at improving there Roster each season the Roosters have such a strong roster that any new players coming in just slot in.
The same could be said with the storm however Bellamy has a nack of getting average players to be team players.

Not in this case.

Top eight from previous yr should play each other twice and bottom 8 once 22 games. Then lucky dip for remaining 4 games ( play these 4 games first)
Viceversa bottom 8

Along with a draft the NFL also considers ‘strength of schedule’ to even the competition, clearly they see the value in giving lower placed teams a leg up. NRL is just dog eat dog and if you ain’t filthy rich you don’t have a voice. Look at the coaches that sit on the various committees, Apollo etc.

But we're one of the few clubs that make a profit? We are supposedly one of the rich clubs.

Wow 17 appearances between them in 22 years and of those 9 wins combined. No wonder i don't have the same interest in the game i had 10 years ago.

Rightly or wrongly, it often appeared to me ever since the Storm began they favourably got the rub of the green, had more money thrown at them etc. Because it was so important to the game’s popularity that they develop a strong foothold in Victoria. I mean nothing attracts fans like victory right?
I think after 22 years the time has come to take off their training wheels.

And in 22 years @twentyforty, how much improvement has there been in promoting junior RL players from schools thru the ranks to play top class Rugba League.
None that I know of, which is pretty pathetic considering the $$$$ the Storms have received.

I don’t know where they came from, but 21 players from the 2020 had their debut with the club.

Qld.

I was trying to find out how many Victorian born players that came through the Melbourne junior system have gone on to play NRL. Although there have been a half a dozen Victorian born I could only find one who came through the junior system. Any ideas?

That seems like an even more miserable way to support a team than what we’re dealing with.
