How will we respond?

If we take Parra lightly it will be at our peril.

They will want to get out of the doldrums and will see us as the chance they need.

We need to treat them the same as the last three games and smash them.

If we can smash the tanker as well - that will be a bonus.

We will starts favourites for the first time this season.

And legitimately we would have looked to this match as the most manageable opposition in the first 5 rounds.

Parra obv struggling to put much together in attack or D, so our level of defence first 3 rounds should cause them a load of trouble.

The major weakness is because we haven't had a load of attacking success, a tight scoreline might have the Eels thinking they are a shot of their first win.

As others have said, real test of our new grit and style against lower opposition. We cant take the foot off the pedal and certainly need to get ourselves motivated as for any top side. Will be a real indicator what kind of mental toughness Ivan has managed to instill.

By next Monday we may be favourites…. But Parra were $1.80 last night and still are

Probably still an even money bet yet , lets see who pulls through the medicals first

I wonder how the Benji refusing to listen to Cleary about coming off has gone down ….

People probably won't agree with this but, we need strike power out the back. We need Tui playing fullback and getting creative. Thompson runs hard but, he's never going to be a legitimate point scoring option.

Your off ya tree mate!
I think you need to do some homework and have a look at his figures over the years.
He got 3 in the trials and one against the chooks and nearly got a hold of the grubber last night under the sticks.
He can find the line as good as anybody.

Thompson would’ve had 2 tries on Friday night if it weren’t for the goal post and a diabolical bounce of the ball. He’s a good fullback, I reckon he should stay there with Tui in at five eighth this week.

Ivan just needs to repeat in team meetings every day for the next week: "Mitch Moses faked mental illness in an attempt to ditch you blokes". Enough said.
Hopefully Mitchy's head resembles a smashed Cadbury Creme egg come Easter Monday. Head-hunt the shifty bludging coward

love it.

I think betting lines remain the same until Mondays then they are changed for the week ahead.

As long as our forwards keep going forward and remain committed in defence we'll be fine,we've played three teams who were tipped to be in the 4 or definitely in the 8 as long as we're in front when the fat lady sings is all that matters I'll take the mantel as best defensive side any day.

Nine day turn around being the Easter Monday clash should be enough time to recuperate and focus on this game. The following 4 day turn around taking a home game to Auckland on the Saturday to play the Storm is more concerning, what the….

Yep. It's 5 days.

I'm not feeling it this week, I'm a little nervous about it, Parra are missing players and are desperate for a win and we can't score points at the moment.
Parra's defence probably isn't flash but it might not need to be against our attack.

I wouldn't change Thomson at fullback - his running game is fine. More importantly his positioning, his communication at the back, the overall safety factor he provides at the back - I don't think Tui has that stuff in his game at the moment. Tui needs to develop further as a fullback, and perhaps more time in the reggies will bring out a bit more desire and hunger in him.

I wondering how many points Parramatta have scored this year…?

Hate to say it but im also not feeling it. I would love to wipe Moses off the park but we did with Tedesco but they are desperate.

On NRL360 Brandy is still blowing up about golden point, will be interested to see how the team has dealt with this. The quicker we get into the grind against the slime the better.
