Hunt done for Cocaine dealing...Titans Charged

I think GNR meant news that some of our players are been tested for Hep A , isn't damaging to the player's or the clubs reputation, while been busted for drugs does harm their reputation.

Speaking of the Hep A problem, when would they find out the results of these tests TM? Surely they must be in by now? I hate this waiting game, I just want to know that they are all clear. It would be a really sh!t way start to the season if they are actually infected. You just couldn't believe it!

I think stories like this puts things into perspective. A hep scare is a little less serious than a couple players being busted for coke

couldnt disagree more. it's still not yet confirmed about the hep cases. hep A scare imo is 100x worse than some reserve graders being arrested.

See Tigermamas post

Flip, if the blood tests were taken early in the week, ( monday, or early Tuesday ) then the results should be in by now. Unless there were other complications.

Thanks Geo and TM for your answers. Does the club saying they will make no further comment mean that the players are in the clear? I would hope so, because to say they were making no further comment and they actually were infected would be pretty bad form, imo.

Going from what JT was saying, the players are in the clear Flip. Fingers crossed

TITANS RELEASE STATEMENT ON FALLOON & DOWLING
Facebook55Twitter3
THE Titans have released a statement confirming hooker Beau Falloon and utility back Jamie Dowling have been arrested and charged with drug offences.
>
Titans CEO Graham Annesley confirmed the club became aware of the charges today when reports surfaced that former rugby league player Karmichael Hunt was arrested and charged with supplying cocaine.
>
The club has since decided to leave the training facility at Southport school as it would not be appropriate at this time for the team to be around impressionable youths.
>
“As a result, Jamie Dowling and Beau Falloon have been stood down from all playing and training responsibilities pending their appearance in court on March 5,” Annesley said.
>
“In addition, the board and management of the club acknowledges that under these circumstances it is not appropriate for the team’s training facilities to be based in an education facility among impressionable young people.
>
“As such we will make immediate plans to relocate to an alternate venue. We unreservedly apologise to the school, our members, sponsors, corporate partners, and other stakeholders who have been let down or impacted by these unexpected and unacceptable developments.”
>
The club is working in accordance with the NRL Integrity Unit on this matter.

Thx pal.

I'm hearing some big names being investigated in relation to this. Past and present players…, massive

I can't explain why current players would get involved when they have a pretty decent income, but you can see why past players get involved. Most of them have no skills or training to do anything else but play footy. A big chunk of Rugby League players are meatheads with no skills for anything else.

It's a culture that's been in the game for longer than people realize. Past players involved are just continuing what they were indulging in as a player but without the busy schedule of training and playing. And before anyone says BS what about drug testing , players in all sports have been cheating tests since testing began
