Might be a good buy for Wests Tigers?

The Warriors have confirmed centre Konrad Hurrell has today been released from his contract. The 24-year-old Hurrell, who was contracted to the end of the 2018 season, leaves the club after making 71 NRL appearances since his debut in 2012.

"After discussions between Konrad, his management (Inventus Sports) and us we’ve reached a mutual agreement for him to be released now," said Warriors managing director Jim Doyle. "We would like to thank Konrad for his contribution since coming into our development system. He has been a popular member of the club and we wish him all the best for the future."

sign him for the rest of the year, and tell him if he plays well there will be a 2 year contract . he would be very cheap and we need a brute in the centres.

Titans….2 1/2 year deal by the end of the week..

Party time on the GC ..Konnie..

Yeah he's already signed somewhere, most likely the Titans, so it'd be a bit late to start chasing him now. I don't remember him having a decent game since he got suspended for lifting his knees….

He has truck loads of potential
May would have already seen him at his best

It was sad though when players go off he rail and their form is rubbish

Geez Brooks comes to mind first

If his head was together he wld be exactly wot we need to rebuild our backline with a genuine first grader to go with Ted and Simona.Instead we resign Chee kam…?

Except if you are JAC, then too bad.

Hurrell is the last player we need, yes we need a centre, but we need a class centre and Hurrell is hot and cold..mainly cold

Yep.but I .appreciate we cant sign em all,and also its important to recognise were on the back foot when were paying moderate to huge $$$ next year to blokes who supposedly have "talent "but play mostly like reserve graders. And that's the entire backline except for Ted and simona(and the latter is starting to be a bit of a stretch too!)
If affordable,Hurrell wld be a nice start in rebuilding the backline..but….

Harell can be occasionaly very good in attack, but his defence is consistantly bad.
His lateral movement is awful (comparable with Rawdy's :frowning🙂.
Simona outplayed him every time

Just seen that Konrad Hurrell has been released by the Warriors effective immediately.

He obviously has another club lined up.

I think he is a bit on the lazy side and his attitude off the field is a concern as well…..but....

If a club could get him back to playing football and cutting the rubbish out, he'd be a good aquisition.

Tigers could definately do with an "impact player"

Any thoughts people ?????

Got enough players in our backline that can't do the basics for 80 minutes, a bloke with a crap attitude isn't going to help.

If it's to be believed he's headed to the Gold Coast.

Well the Gold Coast will do him no favours in cleaning up his act in regards to his attitude. Will he be able to resist the temptation of the party scene on the Gold Coast?? I don't think so.
