I'm not sure where you were educated but it is inappropriate to have a full stop after an exclamation mark, and you've used a comma after poor when a full stop would probably have been better.
Your sentence structure is also quite clumsy asking someone to "inform" - which is usually a directive - by "see[ing] if they have" which implies a question.
