I have a small concern

Now since i started this thread i must say i dont want it to turn into a Moltz bashing….its more of a constructive thread, as we know Sheens will stick with him.

My concern is this....if Tom Humble, who has only been here a few months, and has less experience than Moltz, can come on and demand the ball as a first reciever more than your halfback, who basically chose to do nothing in the 2nd half, then we have a problem that needs to be fixed real quick.

Im not writing Moltzen off as a halfback, but i am disapointed he didnt demand the ball more. In fact, there were times i actually wondered if Humble moved to 7 and Moltz to one....and i know that didnt happen.

Will be interesting to see how they all combine next week.

Swap Moltz for Miller. But then again Marshall would be pretty upset if Sheens did that..Guess it wont happen unless Moltz picks up an injury.

Yeah I think it will take a while before things settle down, the overall attack today was pretty bad, bit hard to single out anyone at this stage…...although Moltzen does come close

Humble is more naturally a halfback, I reckon. Certainly moreso than Moltz. Perhaps it would be better for the team if he took over the halfback role and Moltzen went back to the position where he was playing his best football last year.

It's very sad for young Tedesco - I would've liked to have seen what he could produce this year, but thank God we have so much depth to cover his loss. As good as he is, I don't think we will lose out too much with the ability of these other guys waiting to step up. That said, I wish the young bloke a speedy recovery. Hopefully, his injury won't be as bad as we all think it is, at present.

It has the potential to be a BIG concern.

Moltzen was missing in action today. Looked like the bad, old days of throw it to Benji or Robbie and hope. We were a dog's breakfast at times. It is understandable in ROund 1\. However I'm just concerced he hasn't got the game to be a halfback. I have never been sold on him as a key position player. He does some really nice things, howeber it is mainly when we are front running and dominating a game. He is a runner of the ball and a guy with good speed. Im not sure about how strong his other attributes are. Time will tell but I don't think we can win a competition with him at halfback.

i don't understand what more Moltz has to do to get dropped and how much more Miller has to do to get his chance..Baffles me.

I couldnt agree more. Moltz was very poor today and my concerns as to whether he had the skills for a first grade halfback remain. As always, I hope he proves me wrong.

Humble came on and looked far better than Tim.

I only saw the second half but thought Miller was disappointing in the NYC today. Needs to close out games at that level if he wants to play first grade.

Seriously Southern he has to be a better option The Roosters had big wraps on him but was never going to take pearcy's position. They have to blood someone sooner or later ..

Tomcat Im a Miller fan, and dont rate Moltz at half, but Miller didnt do enough today. He had plenty of chances to finish the game and didnt.

In addition to Moltzen not doing anything, he put one kick in today and it was absolutely dreadful.

Moltz bash, what a surprise…...

we looked at our most organised until he came off (with tedessco)

people calling for him to be dropped, after one game, which we won, with Moltz injured.....

yep seems fair....

Moltz is a punching bag, unless we win by 20 Moltz needs to be sacked...

Give Chisholm a go he could not do any worse than Moltzen. Watch the game and see haow many times he stands behind the play the ball he is supossed to be the 1/2 back, his job is to direct the forwards and get us going forward not to stand behind Farah with his hands on his hips.

I'ld want to see 80 minutes with the fullback and halfback not coming off injured before I have an opinion on partnerships.

Yeh he wasnt too good,,,,,great try saving tackle tho n our line in the 1st half

I dont like his attitude when players make mistakes, (Larence, Farah iirc)…he shakes his head in disgust, or rips into them verbally ....like he never makes a mistake....its not the actions of a team player.
Most players learn there's no point dissin a team mate that made an error, he already feels bad enough without a lecture on top

Combinations weren't on song today. But remember, it is ROUND 1\. My bigger concern is what happens if Benji is out for an extended time early in the season.
