I know it’s not the right thing to do, but…

Has anyone ever asked…why us? Why does it have to be the team that we support that has become the basket case of the NRL for all these years on end, going from bad to worse with every new season? Why Wests Tigers, why couldn’t it be some other team instead? For every club that may have its problems, we have more and they’re far worse. I really hate that it’s come to this, it’s very painful 😞

Look at the way our board is structured and their complete immunity from being removed and you have your answer. The majority of the problems at the club come from them imo. They are a blight on the club

I know I have. Even just coming into this weekend's game I thought "why do Storm/Panthers/Roosters fans get to perennially enjoy the excitement of a genuinely competitive team, practically assured of finals every year, when I've been a fan for 40 years and seen a solitary premiership?".

Two other gfs in my time in 88 and 89, but you couldn't suffer a worse loss than 89. What's more, you still hear about what a 'miracle' it was; not for Balmain supporters it wasn't!

Curse you Warren Ryan! Cuuuurse yooooouuuu!

I think it's only natural to wonder why us, and nothing to feel bad about. It sucks that we chose the tigers for whatever reason and because of it rarely if ever get to experience the excitement of finals, let alone premierships.

But as long time supporters we can all say this: we are loyal and have character.

We've all had plenty of opportunities to jump ship and go for another team, but inside we all know that the victories would be hollow. It would never be the same, and if the Tigers then found success, jumping back wouldn't feel right either.

It's only sport, and yes it can be harsh, but the great thing about it is anything is possible. Likely is a different story, but definitely possible! 😊

You don't pick the team - it picks you.

This is a good read... for once from Kent and 360. Something needs to be done. The only way the comp can get more even.
I watched NRL 360 last night and the article omits one salient point made by Kent. He said that the Roosters don't cheat the cap, they just manage it better. 'They have a guy whose only job is to juggle the figures. Many other clubs don't have a clue on how to manage their cap'. What a load of crap. It's clear as day that the Rorters rort the cap via TPAs and other underhand payments. The game is corrupt in so many areas. I don't want to drag over what has been a cancer blighting the competition for years but, come on Kenty, whose pockets are you in to spin this drivel? The cellar dwellers have to pay overs to keep up with the 'good cap managers' and this skews their caps making them look incompetent.

In a very well known cap rort of a competition its even worse that the Tiger's are too incompetent to get with the programme and be complicit like the top tier teams. We aren't even smart enough to cheat right. Just dumb across the entire joint.

The Roosters also have Ian Schubert, former Salary Cap Auditor, involved with their club. That in itself is sus. He would know the ins and outs of the salary cap, and all of its loopholes.

N.R.L should hire and appoint a full time cap auditer that works out of every clubs head office, who over sees and accepts or delivers all offers for players
On the club's books or any prospective signings, as well as registering any third party agreements for players on the club's books before sending the applications through to N.R.L head office. Every two years the auditers would rotate from club to club so as to not get too involved with the club's board or anyone who could potentially damage their integrity. How it could work in the regional club's like Canberra or Melbourne I'm not too sure, it would be a hard ask for guys to tell their families they're moving for two years but I guess coaches and players do it.
