I really want to get excited about our prospects but cant

Be good if you gave some credit where its due CT…....... the defense in the last 2 months has been as good as anything in the last 11 years. Maybe that has something to do with how we've won 6 from our last 7.

our season this year reminds me of the sharks in '08 (i think it was '08). we are winning the close games which we lost the year before, our defense has been superior to our attack (i know i know 18th string halfback) we are sitting 3rd behind the 2 form teams of the comp.
i hope we can make more of an impact in the finals then the sharks did that year and i hope our attack improves with a stable halves combo if it does i think we will go deep into the finals.

Winning ugly is better than losing 36-30 any day of the week. Besides the more we win ugly, the more confidence the players will have and the rest will fall into place when the injuries heal up.

Just watched the Titan's game.....who do we have to beat next....6 from 7 in the middle third......and 1 from 1 in the third 3rd so far....with plenty of improvement left

I have said it before I dont think we are playing very well at all but that can be a good thing we dont qant to peak in July its all about peaking at the end of the season. The no7 is still our biggest problem, our attack will continue to stutter while we keep playing around with the no7 and no6.Now the big IF will be can Lui stay fit and keep producing half decent form. It will be a big ask for a player that has missed a lot of football and is very inexperienced at this level. It would be a really nice time to have a very experienced no7 running the show at this stage of the season.

Im excited.
Im confident we will get to the semis, Im excited that we can do some damage once we get there, will be a nice change.
We arent quite as I predicted in the 3rd third, didnt think we'd be playing like this, like ron im not sure if its a conscious change altogether, or just the way things are falling atm/.
Loved last Fridays game but wish theyd make it easier for us by putting a team well and truly away nice and early for a change…not good for my nerves

I am excited game days and the days after about our season and the finals etc. For the rest of the week I like to stop thinking about it. A Tuesday afternoon normally does it :laughing:

this concerns me, that it may happen again.
once the team has enough points to ensure, that there is no way on earth they can miss the finals, I will become very excited.

Lets look at some facts:

We basically have the same personnel who have shown the flashiness over the past 5 years
Robbie and Benji are the instruments where everything has flowed - that hasn't changed
Lote is a weapon that we haven't fully utilised for some weeks
Lawrence is starting to show the form we know he is capable of - I predict, with a successful finals campaign that he will his form will be so good that he will earn a spot in Australian squad
Lui is due back allowing Benji to hunt around two passes off the ruck where he prefers to be

I predict we will give the Bunnies a real touch up.

I believe we are struggling with our attack and as a result focusing on our defence. I have heard a number of times that defence is about attitude - I think we are trying to get our attitude right. Once that happens (and with regular half-back) we will start to see our attack flow.

I actually believe Sheens is pretty happy at the moment. The team is winning but our from hasn't peaked.

Interesting to see how we are going from round 22- 23 onwards. Defence extremely solid and attack humming in my IMHO

I gotta say, whilst ive been concerned about our offense.

I am really happy with the way things have panned out for us this season.

And I am really proud to be a Tigers fan based on the commitment and courage shown by the guys every match barring the Roosters and Souths matches.
It used to be every 2nd or 3rd week where it just seemed like the guys haven't turned up, not this season. Of course there's going to be some bad performances, but barring those 2 matches we have won 10 matches and been very honourable in our defeats.
