My daughter turns 18 this weekend and I am struggling to think of a great present for her to mark the landmark occasion, anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Problem is mate is that she has more jewelry than I could jump over! But yeah, I was leaning towards a nice necklace or something, i'm hopeless at buying presents.

A date with yours truly! :roll
Haha, nah. Maybe something more sentimental? Or clothes, but dunno if you can meet her tastes

They have some nice mini cupboards at Tree of Life, it's indie, rustic.
They have the store at parramatta and had a few left over when I was there a month or so ago. Would be right up her age groups alley ?

Engraved jewellery ,something that she can look at and will always remember I Pad if she hasn't got one maybe

Wife suggested an expensive handbag or jewellery

Lucky I read the thread , was going to suggest a yard glass

18 yo.. if she is going to uni, a tablet or a laptop would be nice… that's if she doesn't have one already.

@ink.. a CAR!

lol i just turned 18 so that's what i was expecting from my parents..they got me a henley small t shirt from kmart...im mediums

Tell her your taking her for a nice lunch. Then rock up at skydiving and jump with her.

I did a tandem jump and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life, the feeling is amazing.

My lines got twisted when the shoot opened and we spun out for a while, but the bloke got control back and I'm still here thank god. But don't let that put you off haha.

Never less the free fall is incredible and the pros make it seem like it's nothing.

A mate of mine did it at Woolongong (I think) over the water and said the view was incredible. I did mine at Prospect with Sydney Skydivers.

Thanks for the great suggestions, will remember them for next year and beyond!. I ended up taking the easy way out and just went with a necklace and a bracelet….... quick and painless! They seemed to be a hit.

i was thinking skydiving myself!!

if anyone else is interested:

for my sisters 40th birthday a few years ago, i hired her a hummer stretch limo to take her and her friends (and my mum!) to her birthday lunch and back. it wasn't too expensive because they all had a blast and she will always remember it. the restaurant was about 40 minutes away from her house so definitely worth it. also, no one had to drive!
