Idris the Aggressor

I thought Jamal Idris was a powerhouse today. He showed great commitment in attack and defense and the thing I noticed was his consistently aggressive attitude. While we can appreciate Elijah Taylor's work ethic and high tackle count, is there anyone in the Tigers team that come close to Jamal's ability to intimidate? I can't think of anyone and that's a problem.

If we get a top centre we can think of putting him in the forwards where we are definitely short on intimidation.

not saying its his fault, but once he turned into a hitman in the middle, the defensive line never adjusted and it played a big role in a seriously compressed line that was exploited.

He was banging today, but there were times we needed a centre and he wasnt anywhere near home.

Thought he was our best.

Teddy and mckillrick probably.

But he killed it. Now can anyone explain to me how a normal wrestle tackle that could take 5-6 seconds to complete whilst the attacker is walking and making metres continually is better than a player like idris hitting hard, stopping them in a dominant tackle that you can lay on lomger and the attackers not making any extra metres??

God i hate this slow attempt at wrestling. Not one of our forward pack hits hard. Its an embarressmemt.

Teddy's best game in weeks and McIllrick- buy of the year - got it all wrong about him. Has made that position his own.

Still some things to improve on, but without a doubt Idris's best game for WT. Looked dangerous with the ball and put some massive hits on. Shouldn't surprise that Parra seemed to send more traffic down the other edge after he started putting the shots on.

Idris defence today was excellent, one of our best and the rest of the team would do well to follow his lead.

He just needs to work on his pace a bit and he'll be a top centre in the game again. Looks a bit fat and out of shape, but the big fella played out of his skin today.

Best aggresive defensive performance by a tigers player that i can remember. At least 3 tackles had the crowd of their feet. Pace will pick up with match fitness. I dont think its his pace thsts the problem, we just seem to be always short on the right hand side.

Torn hammy or just cramp??? Could be gone for weeks

Thought it may have been cramp as well KS

He is starting to become the player we hoped for , just that mobility and engine now 😛ray:

Great defender when he's standing still. Once he has to move laterally he's toast. As many good hits he put on, he was equally burned on his outside. He's a slug when he has to use his feet. But you have to give him credit. He's really putting his hand up and having a dig.
