What penalty? You talking about Dwyer’s hit? Cos he wasn’t penalised.

We would of won a couple of comps but had them taken off us for cheating. Oh well, if your Aunty had gonads......

No our club is too hopeless to cheat the cap and not get caught for some time.

It’s not going to happen. I mean one cavalier riding into the club and solving all our problems, especially if that person is the coach. Because our real problem is the organisations culture. It has obviously been built whether knowingly or unknowingly over 21 years. Worse still it’s a hot topic which shouldn’t be discussed. We are only seeing symptoms of the culture manifested in the behaviour of our players. If our players were winning more games than they were losing then maybe we wouldn’t realise we had a problem. So it’s a good thing right?
When the board allowed the players to sack their coaches they unwittingly rubber stamped the losing culture.

Um the foundation of that club was built on having 2 salary caps for the majority of its first 10 years. When you’re paying Ryan Hoffman 200k as a 17 year old in the mid 2000s to go down south , you’re going to have a leg up . Throw in the poaching of Inglis from newy , striking gold in slater and Smith ( what the hell were you thinking broncos!!!), and Bellamy realising very early that the money should be tied up in the spine ( not everyone believed this at the time ), the allowance of wrestling to be used . They policed it far too late , and finally the huge influx of cash and resources form news limited and the NRL and yea .. that’s where they’re at . It’s not sour grapes from me , as I admire and respect them , but let’s call a spade a spade

The biggest loss was Harry not taking over the club and getting his wealthy mates to provide TP deals ( like uncle Nick has done for 30 years and other successful clubs) to players to come to WT.Would have been a different story to our constant poor club predicament.

I wonder if Bellamy ever thinks about dodging that bullet.

Every Christmas he has a fine whisky and toasts to it in deep thought 😅

Depends how many sets of books we have.

It was only a matter of time

Well it is true.

So is the fact he’ll go down as the greatest coach of the modern era, regardless.

And almost every expert you’d ask. The fact he’s won 2 premierships since they were penalised proves that he has some idea of what he’s doing.

He’s had success through cheating and coaching dirty tactics.

im sure it was a penalty right infront of the sticks, they kicked the two to level it up.

On JWH

No mate. It was the scrum from that knock on that we didn’t pick the ball up from, lost it, and Anasta kicked the field goal from the sideline to take it to extra time. The rest of that night I’m stil trying to forget. Wests Tigers version of the 89 gf. A game we weren’t meant to win.

The guy is a scumbag that was onboard with the cheating. How people easily forget.

I’ve been thinking a lot in recent weeks about what if this had happened, and where we would be. It popped into my head a lot last night for obvious reasons. Appointing Sheens was a success in the short term given 05, but we could have had lucked into something special being contenders every year for the last 15+ years. When you talk about the club’s greatest losses, you immediately think Tedesco, **but Bellamy is the true greatest loss this club has suffered.**

What could have been....

Nope, losing Prince to Titans was the greatest loss. Lead to the Johnny Cronk years and started the Wests Tigers organisation believing you can make the finals without a first grade quality half back. No coincidence when the team actually had a decent first grade half in 2010 -2011 in Lui, they made the finals. Nada since, no half back = no finals

Prince was the greatest loss

Madge is the closest thing to the Bellamy style coach in the NRL.

He has the backing of the Front office and is working through the deadwood and revitalisation of this club.

Another year of pain in 2021 unfortunately, will see us free a significant percentage of funds to continue.

Not sure how it would’ve worked out for us, but I’m pretty sure that Bellamy would’ve exploded into a million little pieces by now from coaching our mob 😂
