If Tedesco really does leave...

Teddy was interviewed on talkin sport this arvo and Gavin Robertson ( big tigers fan) almost pleaded with Teddy to stay with us… Teddy in his reply was careful not to give anything away and basically said his contract dealings are his managers job.... I would've liked more of an answer along the lines of " I want to stay " ...
Mayer better wrap this guy up soon. Let BMM go if we need cash for Teddy and Nofo

Why let the Tigers pick you up on the cheap by saying those sort of things

Let them have some sleepless nights and let the offers slowly climb Teddy

Let the haggling begin

The club will be pissing in his pockets trying to screw him down for every cent they can

Tedesco is in such a strong bargaining position right now. He is carving up right at the right time. If he holds out longer and keeps his form, his name will start to get tossed up for Origin. If he does the unthinkable and cracks Origin and has still held out the offers will become massive. He'll probably sign for us in June for 700k a season. If he signed with us now he'd be looking at a good but not superstar contract. He's playing the game right.

The Tigers right now are in the situation where they basically have to pay him what he asks for tbh. They have to be careful too because if they refuse any offer it could scorn him and the offers from elsewhere will be rolling in on the daily right now.

Anyway I think the answer is David Nofoaluma. If I remember correctly he was a fullback growing up and when he started playing rep for the Magpies in 16s was actually the fullback ahead of Tedesco for a while, then moved the centres when everyone realised how good Tedesco is. I bet Nofoaluma is a gun fullback.

i was watching matty johns and they interviewed robbie and he said that him and tedesco has the same manager, and that robbie will speak to their manager to try lock up teddy,
god i hope he stays!

Highly unlikely he would leave. Wests junior, so unlikely to want to move areas. I can't see our cap being problem. Last time I checked we weren't full of superstars. Yes, we might have to pay a bit more than some other clubs to attract/retain talent, but we also had a decent 5/8 last year who would have made some room in our cap.

I just can't think of the scenario in which he would leave? As good as he has been, I can't see him being marquee status as far as other clubs are concerned this early in his career coming of a knee problem.

Useless ridiculous thread. Just because the bloke is playing well ppl are paranoid he will leave! Relax!
There hasn't even been anything said or any rumours about him leaving

actually i saw a rumour he was offered 900k by the dogs, although that MAY have been a 3 year contract.

He can be offered 20million, but where is the rumour he is leaving? Clubs can offer whoever whatever, but there is nothing to suggest he may leave

Here is a list of some of the fullbacks running around at the moment

Inglis
Stewart
Barba
Hoffman
Tomkins
Dugan
Slater
Moylan
Hayne
Minichiello
Tedesco
Gidley
Milford
Perrett
Gordon

Quite an imposing list in one position

Tedesco is definitely a player of the future but many clubs have players of equal or better quality at this stage

The halves list would be a lot shorter considering you need twice as many than FBs. Not as many halves going around in FG.

Although Whighton (or however you spell it) from the raiders looks great!
