If the NRL is a business...

Ballin wont be good to go til mid-way through 2017 at best. Mental demons my friend particularly after a 2nd reconstruction and that's assuming there are no complications.

There will be no Halatau either.

That's Liddle and on-one at the start of the year. Sorry, there's Rankin. I forgot.

2017 will be like Groundhog day.

A bargain when you have someone on 950 being asked to do the same job.

Not really when we will still be paying a large portion of that to do the job elsewhere.

Where has it been stated that Ballin won't be ready till mid-2017?

Great …..another year of developing another junior :unamused:

Would be the same situation with Farah around. I don't see what the issue is.

I'm sick of relying on juniors coming through the ranks with so called 'potential '

Tedesco could be a veteran by the time all the up & comers play as a collective .

And who's to say Ballin will make it back ?

It's a fair point. 2nd knee reco in two years at his age. I'm still hoping if Farah goes to Souths we can get McInnes in return.

I just threw up in my mouth …...
McInnes ... Are you for real ?
He's absolute crap , he'd be on par with Rankin at dummy half ....
Souths supporters don't rate him , why the hell would we want him ?

All we want is someone who can feed the halves.

Take those gossip columns with a grain of salt, but there was a rumour about 3 weeks ago that we requested him in return if they sign Farah.

Highest paid player at the club, based on appearances so far

…then from that perspective, it will cost the WT Club $950k to get ride of Farah or I assume, $500K to get ride of Taylor.

The pros and cons are:
- Taylor said we are looking for a No.9 and yet we have a SOO player on our books signed for 2017 that we don't have to spent a cent on.
- Who better to guide Little than an experienced SOO rake
- Has the team really improved under Taylor and how will it get better next year when he continually picks players that arent up to first grade standard?
- How from a business sense do you buy a No.9 with a dodgy knee and expect them to be part of the first team after 6months. Anyone who has had or watches players with an ACL injury knows the mental demons take 18months.
-The coach bought a player with a dodgy knee and the club is paying him to work on his strength and fitness while taking money from the Cap.

In my opinion, and from a business perspective, cut your losses with Taylor and move on.

So you payout Taylor … And the coach who replaces him works for free does he ?

Something tells me you don't really have a business perspective .

I got full faith in a 33 year old Ballin being ready for Round 1 after 2 straight years out with 2 Knee surgeries 😕

200 K for 2 games

I would not call that a bargain.

Sorry.

However it is in GNRs world,

Whatever.

It's been no bargain deal for way i see it.

Taken a valuable spot in the Top 25.

I'd say it would be wiser to judge his worth at the end of next season. But that's just me.
