If we beat Manly it will set us up for the rest of the season

I know Manly are going crap but when they play at brookie they just turn on and if they're on they are ON, so if we can pull it off at the fortress I reckon it sets us up for the rest of the season. It will be a close game against manly that is a certainty, But if we do what we did against the bunnies with Woodsy and Farah back…. No team in the comp can stop us!!! Consistency+Attitude=Winning.

Great win, but every losing streak is broken eventually. This side has a long way to go, and a finals appearance is still some way off.

I have got a pretty good memory but cant remember when we last beat Manly at Brookie - regardless of how good or bad we were going. A huge effort required to succeed with this one.

It was a nice win, but we're very inconsistent because we're young. With the lack of experience it is hard to string together good performances in a row.

ye now im convinced we'll lose. whenever a thread like this comes up- we end up losing. e.g. warriors 2011 finals

One week at a time

x 2

It was a great win last night & it's easy to get over excited about it but we really need to play that high intensity footy for 80 mins each week.

I agree.
If wests-tigers only win 2 more games this year, FOOTY GODS let them beat MANLY & ROOSTERS. 😛ray:

we all have seen the roller coaster ride of in- consistency, this team has, they could play absolute crap next match. :unamused:

I hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Last night showed we have real ability, aggression and skill in the side. But that's nothing new. We need to not show it once every now and then but make it the normal.

Next week winning would be great but hardly sets us up for the next part of the season.

It will be interesting to see if the team come out with the same aggression and focus against Manly they did against Souths.

Tough work to beat Manly at Brookvale regardless of where they are on the table.

Hanging on to that one point lead over the Titans last week would have been great following last nights game.

Indeed it would have! Would have been good for my tipping as well :frowning:

Manly may be running last, but I never underestimate them. Their team is still choc full of stars and I reckon they will click at some stage this season. Whilst they may have copped a hammering at the hands of a red hot Brisbane last week, they have still been fairly competitive in most of their matches this year, which included 2 wins over Melbourne and a last minute loss to the in form North Qld, as well.

We haven't won at Brookvale in 10 years and we've turned in some absolute shockers at that dump of a ground. Wouldn't be surprised to see us crash back to earth next week, but hey, if we aim up again there's no reason why we can't win.

How many times have we played there in the past ten years though? They've moved most of their games against us up to the central coast in recent years..

I can't ever remember winning a penalty count let alone a game at Brookvale. Makes it hard when the refs hammer us and all the 50/50 calls go their way. Makes you wonder if anything goes on that we don't know about.

Not wrong Knuckles …our only victory at Brookvale came in Rd 4 2003 out of 9 attempts...history is made to be broken...

We actually won the penalty count last night guys. First time in a long time that I can remember and against the team that can usually do no wrong too! Bloody miracle, I say!

If the boys can repeat their form from Friday we will be a good chance, something may have sparked, I truly hope so !!!

If we play Manly like we did Souths,we are a big chance, but once again we have to be consistent..and if we win it will be a bonus…
