If you played 1st grade....

….and you placed strapping around your wrists, it is now very common to write catch phrases or reminders in black marker on the strapping. What message would you write on each wrist?

If I was a back, I would have reminders why I play NRL, so "Chicks" would be on one wrist and "$$$$" would be on the other.

If I was a forward and to remind me how many minutes remain in the match, I reckon I would draw a watch on the left wrist with the match start time and then update the "watch" at half time with the black marker. I would then write "Left wrist" on the right wrist to remind me where I put my watch.

I'm still giggling. That hit the funny spot for me - the watch. Would love to see that one day.

Very good Gary, thanks for the laugh.

I've got nothing….. maybe draw a fitbit as everyone seems to be wearing them these days.

I don't know about the wrist band Gary. I think I would go the whole hog and have "Fibrodreaming" tattooed on my back (taking my inspirations from Big Keith).

I reckon Id go something super cryptic yet deep and mysterious sounding that actually meant nothing.

Id also draw attention to it as often as possible and when quizzed about it, make solemn comments about it being special to me…

mess with people a bit

How the hell did you find that? Brilliant.

I used to call him Milky, baiting Raiders fans on LU
The milky way bar is my work - milkyweyman …..for the dummies
His L & R wrist strapping are his own work

Funny you should mention that
, quite a few years ago, a soon to retire qld first grader, was playing for one of the school group teams in the Qld schools Competition At Wynum Manly , with his phone number across his tracksuit shoulders. Seemed like a bighead, but in Hindsight, it worked.

Really good question Gary

My kids names to remind me why I need to continue performing my best in every game to keep paying the bills for as long as possible and try and set them up for life

Maybe a reminder to why I play this game for , because I love it to death

The other would be someone I hated , so every time I hit the ball up or was making a tackle I wanted to do maximum damage to anyone in my way

Nice work!
It looks like the trainer is saying to him "yes Michael, the L is for Lollies".
Was a character Weyman….remember when he got sent off for fighting with Piggy Riddell and he was asked what made him go berserk and he said "he called me fat"!
Pity there are no more personalities in our game like him these days.

Greg Inglis Mum now writes on his strapping "Field Goal = 1 Point" :roll

I actually wrote on my wrists, but it was simply a "2". This always reminded me to focus on doing my 2 jobs well. When the game plan would wonder, it was good to get refocused.

For a mountain man forward, i like to see…Mummy's boy....Just so everyone knows they're the sensitivity type off field.
