we finish in 5th and either the Warriors or Cowboys finish 4th, what night would we be playing?

I need to draw up some contingency plans to attend the game, be it in Townsville or Auckland.

obviously if we finish 4th, things will be much easier to arrange.

Yes the ball & chain has never been the same when in 2005 i went to the Grand Final, left for the game on the Friday & got home on the Monday Night, no sence of humour.

Tigerbenji - same thing happened to me in '05 but I got home Monday morning at 4am. Wife was waiting with a rolling pin. I said: What are you doing, baking this early?

There is a potential issue if the Warriors finish 4th.

The opening ceremony and first match of the Rugby World Cup, New Zealand v Tonga is to be played at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday 9 September.
This would clash with Warriors home semi final at Mount Smart if they finish 4th. Concerns have been raised as to whether Auckland's transport system could cope with both games at the same time, accomodation for visiting team players, Toyota Cup and fans is also a concern.

I heard that Auckland do not have enough police resourses to cover both games and the game may be switched to Sydney ,because of world cup commitments.Wests will win their next two and host a home semi .

The NZRU and the NRL are really hoping the Warriors miss out on a home final.
