I'm calling it now

cant beat the bulldogs…
we dont deserve to be there....

Surely the reverse logic is just as relevant - we have beaten the top 4 teams, therefore we do deserve to be there.

Call me crazy, call me naive, but the Wests Tigers will still make the Finals this year.

I was at the ground last Friday against the Bulldogs and if they still have that performance in them, then there is not a chance of making the finals this year. They had everything to play for and were as flat as a pancake. You could tell in the first 5 mins that it was going to be a long night. That was not a finals footy team playing out there.

bit weird that a team on a potential 30 points still might not make the 8, but I hope they pull their fingers out and give it a good crack at least

If we’re not going to make it, I’d rather us bow out in the next couple of rounds rather than the last game. I’ll never forget the anger and disappointment of round 26, 2016.

It starts at 6.00pm

he means full-time but I'm guess the 1st boot will be slipped in at 6.01pm..

6:15
Give them some leeway ..

Cmon man that's not like you..

Scenario A… We kick off ...out on the full..
Scenario B..They kick off...we knock on..

Scenario A might be a good omen. Same thing happened opening finals game vs Cows in '05.
Geez has it been 13 years since then :sign:

Yes and that’s the issue, consistency. From here on in they need that type of performance every week and I don’t see that in them.

Footys an interesting game, only have to look at 2016 and how many times we thought our season was over with losses to the Titans and getting smashed by Penrith only to have it in our hands in the final round. It's unlikely, but it's not impossible, just need to win this week and get over the top of Canberra and that'll show where the boys' heads are at.

As for calling it now and making the finals this year…...the good thing about life is you are allowed to DREAM......

I heard someone say over the weekend, that its not that the wasn't prepared to put the effort in. They said they believed the problem was that because of the squad the Tigers have the effort to beat Souths and Saints was just too much which resulted in them being tired and flat the following week. I think that's what happened at the start of the year, the intensity that we need to play with drain our team. I'm just believing that its going to come goood over the next couple of weeks.

I thought Cleary's comments the other night on 360 were interesting. When asked about our 'inconsistent' form, he mentioned that before the season started we were most people's favourites for the spoon.
His words were "there was a reason for that. So for us to win any games is a big effort". In other words, he knows our roster is not up to scratch just yet. It has obviously been improved with Mbye and Farah since the start of the year.
Everyone involved knows and understands that it needs to be continually improved for the next couple of years.
I believe Cleary would be as surprised as the rest of us if we make the finals this year.
In that context, the fact we are still in with a mathematical possibility of making the finals may well be an achievement in itself.
That doesn't mean we should be satisfied. Obviously Cleary isn't. But you also need to be realistic.
I don't think we'll make the finals. I hope we do, obviously.
But I am reasonably satisfied with the improvement and more importantly the direction we are heading - on and off the field.

I just believe the Warrior are about to fall in a heap, though I thought that before the thrashed Brisbane as well.

Talk is cheap (and posting on a forum is even cheaper).

Put your money where your mouth is and Show us your Sportsbet receipt.

After the first 6 games I almost went and spent the money! I can cash out at $75 per $100 bet but being the optimist I am I'll let it ride. Must admit though that the $50 on top 4 was a bit too optimistic  Can get $5.50 at the moment…better not.

All I want to know is whether or not the WT players can find as many reasons to miss out on the finals as the fans can.

I’m still feeling that type of anger from last Friday night.

Almost a week on and I still can’t get over how tepid we were with so much at stake
