But could Siro be an answer to our centres crisis?

Its an unorthodox thought, but it wouldnt be the first time someone put a big centre out there, nor the first time a ball player either eg Lyon….

On paper we have enough bulk to fill in the pack without him, and realistically from the staff we have he seems a good fit. I understand we are grooming him to be a second rower, but many before him have made that exact progression from centre to the pack.

Just putting it out there...

I dont believe there is a "centre crisis", more a forum confidence crisis.

At least you were prepared because I'm laughing.

We have a problem with out lateral defence in our three-quarter line and your solution? Put one of our slowest lateral defenders in there.

lol, I trimmed the first post down a fair bit as I was almost arguing against my own thought, but it boiled down to… sure he isnt the quickest guy, lateral defence not one of his greatest assets, so at the very least he is in the same boat as Lawrence and Lulia on those two fronts, but with the added advantage of hard running and hands capable of unleashing a winger.

Fair enough and I am with Ink, better than bringing Seve in.

we have 3 centres for 2 spots next week, don't see a massive issue.

siro often plays out there in attack anyway, no need for him to be there in D permanently where he'll get lapped.

He'd probably kill it at centre.
On RUGBY LEAGUE LIVE 2 on Play Station, he is my starting centre.
Wow.

I made this suggestion last year B&W so I for one wont be laughing. Even if his defence is not the greatest he would kill it in attack as centre. Surely worth thinking about as beyond Simona the cupboard is bare.

Speed is the biggest worry. Sirro moves ok, but he's no rocket and we've seen what happens to the team defensively out wide when we have been forced to play backrowers in the centres - we struggle. Attackwise though he would surely offer more than Lawrence, especially considering he has an offload in his game and a reasonably clever passing game.

Yeah….Na.... He's a Second Rower now anyway he comes back Round 10 that's 6 Rounds away..... We will find someone else to replace Lawrence by then don't worry he will Probably be injured soon anyway........

But we don't have a centre problem…Simona is back next week and Lulia, while no rep player, is solid. The trys weren't scored on his side.

I'd say the only problem we have is the integrity of the club (I don't believe it's purely the coach's choice) to drop a highly paid yet underperforming Lawrence. I've loved the guy but this season and last he hasn't been good.

Thats the catch 22… we dont have speed there now, and Lawrence and Lulia offer us nothing at all in attack.

I am hearing what everyone is saying, hell most of it even went through my head before putting the thread up, but even though there were extenuating circumstances yesterday with the injuries and positional changes, it was once again Lawrences side that leaked. Its not a one off either, doesnt matter who has been along side him, if he is on the park, his side is the softest, he is the constant.

I like the guy dont get me wrong, but to be a consistant team we have to adjust, and adjust in a ruthless manner to correct a glaring weakness, and at this point in time do so from within the players within our squad.

without going for too long, I also think Siro being on for 80 mins can help Brooks when the chips are down and Anasta goes missing... they have history, and may combine well with the Brooks and teddy show.

Hi guys, long time reader first time writer, does anyone know how corey browns coming along, could he be a possible replacement for lawrence?

I think Siro struggles laterally with defending, being beaten on the inside or stood up. He certainly would run straight and hard in attack though.

He defended at centre in a game v the Dogs

He wasn't good ,I think Morris made him look bad and then Barba did the same

We are going to have to make do with what we have

I'm not laughing at you BnW , its not the worst idea you've probably had
