Both and before that. Potter came in with the wrong attitude. Bennett, Maguire, Bellamy - all tough - but good players love them.

I think it can be argued he's already doing. The Takairangi back flip and the Skando sacking as cases in point.

Agree with that I think he will be great for our Club…I was more alluding to results on the football field .....until we see that all the changing of the window dressing won't mean much if the results don't follow...

Yet some of our best wins in the last three years came under Potter, the games against the Rabbits and and Dogs come to mind.

There were lots of reasons we didn't make the eight, but I suspect that if Potter had been given the same power that Taylor has been given, he may still have been coach next year. If Potter was able to get us within 4 point of the eight, 6 points looking at F/A, with all the s#it that happened this year then Taylor will need to make the eight or considered a failure. He's started off OK, lets hope he can get the job done during the year.
 
Well he did coach side in 2 out of those 3 years. Would be surprising if it was anything but. We also had the worst losses. Apart from the game against Melbourne we were dross in 2013.

Idk about that, he didn't even drop under performing players. I don't think he had the personality to be an NRL coach. Coaches need to be bastards sometimes, and make some tough decisions. I don't think Potter had it in him to be a bastard.

he was given little power, and the second tier cap continuously handcuffed his ability to draw players. As well as injuries obviously.

I welcome JT as our new coach, but i still wonder as to why Potter wasn't given the same power as JT. Why wasn't he allowed to be a real coach? I guess the answer to that will remain a mystery.

Nah. He was poor. He failed to include others in his vision. I suspect because he had no vision. Those people in the know were very surprised how little he talked to the players in his first 6 months.

Thank god we had Kidwell this year. Would have been lucky to win a game if not.

I hear things too, but one thing I am sure of is that we are heading in a new direction,and it is driven by the new board with Mayer implementing it.

It seems that Taylor will be getting the support to take charge of the team that was never afforded to Potter, like him or not.

Funny - my son worked at the launch this year and lets just say it was Kidwell who did most of the talking that night too - and very well I might add. He also met Mick that night - and yes said what lovely bloke he was.

As much as I like the clean out (Potter's maltreatment aside), we don't know yet if JT isn't being tough for toughs sake.
He wouldn't be the first to mistake ruthless for professional.
'Professional' gets misused a lot. It could well have been the catch cry that fed denial about the Roosters being the Rorters.
"It's got nothing to do with having 450-700k players across the park, we're just more professional!".
Indeed, Wests Tigers could do with a bit more of that professionalism.

Aswell as talk weve also seen actions(something new for this club)with people coming and going and new positive steps put in place(re GM etc etc)
