I'm so tired of losing...

As the title says, I'm just so over this. It hurts so much. Sure, we've competed the last couple of weeks but we're still 1:5

I couldn't even watch tonight. I didn't watch a minute because I couldn't bear to see us lose again… my plan was to get the score at full time and, if we'd won, watch the replay on Fox.

Don't even have to worry about that now.

Just so over footy :frowning:

Get behind your team, I've supported the Tigers for over 30yrs n have seen far worse than this.
What you missed tonight was a "good" loss.
Brisbane had 60% of ball for the game, 20odd tackle inside our 30 in a row for a kick to the corner. Their tries came from our mistakes. They didn't run a try through us.
We might have lost but we were gutsy.

Had you watched the game you may not feel so bad. We played well in the second half.

Humble had a fair game. It must be hard to come into the team as a ballplayer (halfback), and get told not to be a ballplayer!

No, it wasnt a good loss.

Lucky we didnt lose by more than 30 points. The scoreline is truly a flattery of how we really played.

Ah Team Tiger, I know exactly how you feel. I watched the game tonight and, even though the boys really put in, I just knew they were never going win, right from the outset. I could barely look at the screen, it was just on in the background really.

Their defence has improved immensely, but they are a team playing without confidence and, if there is any luck, karma or whatever, it's just not going their way at all - and this is killing their confidence even more. Add to this, the bloody injuries! Seriously, can we just have a one week without a major injury to someone??? Is that too much to ask?

Old Tigers supporter, agree that in some years its great just to get a win. But when your team has so much potential its hard not to get disheartened. Good effort tonight though, with a little luck we'll get a roll on starting next week.

I dont see how it was lucky at all. Sure they bombed a couple but we gifted them a couple as well. The soreline was close because the side refused to let Brisbane score for huge parts of the game. Our defence was heroic at times.

…but any way if it makes you feel better, keep kicking the dog while it is down.

I've never understood when people bring this up. So because there has been tougher times, we should still settle for less than mediocre? I say forget the past, lets focus on now. It's clearly killing us at the moment, we need to adapt and evolve.

My point is, if I lost interest every time things didn't go so well, I wouldn't still be supporting my team.
Our attack is not great ATM, but our defense was. Attack clicked at the end for 2 tries. We just gotta stick passes n hold the ball.
I also haven't read a post that mentioned losing Hino & Groat

I only put down 2 loses to our defense failing. St George and Canberra.

The other games whilst our defense let in crucial tries, it was our misfiring attack that led us to lose those games. Grubbers on the 2nd tackle, dropped ball, non existent centers. This is the big concern, we scored most of our tries through luck, or after the other side has effectively won the game already.

We are failing to create points and point scoring opportunities.

Its not my fault the dog wants to stay down

Yep, Gen X/Y, wondered how they would have handled Balmain in the 70's/90's?

Yeah, thanks for tarring us all with the same brush CT. I was around for Balmain in the 90's. I still think it's fantastic when we win back to back.

We will never win another premiership until we have a halfback. A proper halfback who can dominate benji and Robbie and also has a good short and long kicking game. If moltzen isn't really a half , then don't play him there. If humble doesn't meet this criterior, then don't play him there. If our closest option is Jacob Miller, then put him there and stick with him. If he played every game at half this year and we were still 1-5, it would be acceptable . But what do we do now? More chopping and changing?
Anyway Anasta could be good for us next year. Just worried about friction between the 6,7 and 9\. Hope they can gel
