TIGERS
On the cusp: The forgotten man of the Wests Tigers, Tim Moltzen’s comeback from injury continued as he lead the joint venture club to a 20-18 win over Newcastle. Moltzen scored a try and saved another through a terrific cover tackle on Jake Mamo as he continued to make his way back from a series of horrific knee injuries. The off-contract Moltzen hasn’t played first grade since Round 7 2013 but may come into considerations for Jason Taylor as a bench utility now that Robbie Farah is bound for Origin.
On the block: Cult hero Keith Galloway again struggled for impact last weekend with the veteran bookend managing just seven carries for 50 metres in 42 minutes of playing time. The 29-year old has struggled for both form and fitness this season with Aaron Woods and Martin Taupau continually shouldering the majority of the work in the middle of the field. With the young Tigers struggling for defensive steel and offensive punch in the middle outside of Woods and Taupau, Galloway must improve.
