Indigenous round logo

If they were good and wanted to come here - I am sure they would be signed.

Trouble is the all want to go to their spiritual home - Souffs (Pride of the League).

We are trying to get JAC apparently. Probably without success.

I sometimes wonder why in our more recent history we've had very little indigenous players..... We had many to begin with... Wonder if it's intentional looking at other clubs rosters

We had a crack at Latrell, we had JAC, and we'll probably go for him again. I don't think it's deliberate by the club.

Where’s the pommy round , or the Lebanese round , talk about been racist, it’s all good when it goes there way .

Wow this argument again.

And why not????????

Because it is a stupid argument that shows little knowledge of the subject, but I am not being dragged into it so this is my last post on the subject.

That's not like you, usually you like to put wood on the fire to stir people up to promote a discussion.

That is very true, lol, not really in the mood today so using a bit of restraint, which is unlike me. In saying that I may change my mind in a couple of hours lol

Social media is awash with Tigers comments, I didn't even realise it was supposed to symbolise heritage round. I have never known orange and black to be an indigenous colour set.

The original artworks were used with the materials they could obtain from the land. So charcoals from burned wood, and colours extracted from ochres which would have been whites, yellows and reds (so by extension, oranges would have been there as well.)

Not what I meant - black and orange exclusively.

The NRL logo for indigenous round has been made black and orange. My immediate thought in response to this is "Tigers". It looks like a Balmain version of the NRL logo, missing a splash of white for Wests Tigers. Social media is awash with people saying "Tigers round!"

They haven't used yellow or red, which is weird, and which would have instead made my mental response "Indigenous".

I’m pretty sure he’s African but not 100%.

Extract from Wikipedia:

Mbye was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and is of Gambian descent through his father, making him one of the few players in the NRL to be of African descent

The way the comp has evolved will it become a special round in memory of the white fellars in years to come with all the islanders and indigenous players spread through out all the teams.

We could have ‘white players matter’ protests
